Annette L. Goudy has 23 years of experience providing legal services to her clients, working both as a senior associate for AV rated law firms to re-opening her office as a solo practitioner in 2000. Annette Goudy cut her teeth as a young attorney practicing personal injury and insurance defense law, and came to family law only two short years after she was licensed by the State of California, knowing that family law was where she could best serve her clients. Having experienced many of the same issues as her family law clients, Annette realized that she was well suited as a family lawyer, or, in her words, a Family Advocate.
Annette handles all issues relating to family law, from simple dissolutions to domestic violence matters, including property division, dividing community businesses, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and paternity matters. She has successfully brought and defended against contempt actions; and has assisted her clients when they needed a guardianship or a conservatorship. Annette has also defended clients in the criminal realm involving both misdemeanors as well as felonies.
Annette has a reputation in the legal community as a negotiator first, as she understands the high cost of litigation and realizes that any agreement that the parties enter into on their own will likely be followed by each party better and more completely than a court order made by a judge who has little knowledge of the parties or their children.
Despite her reputation as a skilled negotiator, Annette is also a very successful trial attorney, if a particular case cannot be negotiated for any reason. One client who resided out of county was being dragged into court once or twice a month for a year, and Annette was able to show the court that the other party was abusing the court system. The court designated the party a “vexatious litigant”, requiring that party to post a bond and have any filings approved by the Presiding Judge prior to filing any further requests.
When you engage the services of Annette Goudy, you will find that you have hired an attorney who will listen to you, seek out the true facts, and will advise you on how best to proceed, whether in court or out of court. She also provides practical advice for any issue that may arise, from problem children, educational issues, or personal issues, to name a few, and has many resources that benefit her clients, if necessary.
Annette also devotes a portion of her practice to pro bono clients. In the past, she has handled cases involving child abuse by a parent, spousal abuse, and has represented home schooling parents, all pro bono.

Are you an attorney? Endorse this lawyer
I STRONGLY endorse this lawyer!! Ms. Goudy worked for our firm in the early 1990's supporting me in my litigation practice and was a most valued member of our team. She was always prepared, was excellent with clients, and generally made our firm look good. I regretted her leaving the area and loosing her from our team.
