I went to the hospital in an ambulance. The police were called and did a report. The people's insurance info is with the police. The doctor did an xray but found no broken bones but said I would need to schedule an MRI to see if there is cartl...

I see your question accidentally posted twice, here is my response from your other listing: I'm sorry to hear about your accident. Call a California attorney today! You are clearly not at fault for this accident, and you shouldn't have to suffer physically or financially because the driver was negligent. Most lawyers, like myself, offer free consultations and charge no money out of pocket. We can also help you get the medical treatment you need, especially the MRI, without you paying upfront. There are doctors out there who will work on a lien, knowing that you have a personal injury case.

Consult with an experienced lawyer today. If you have any further questions about your accident, I would be happy to speak with you.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident. As my other colleagues have said, please visit a doctor today to have your and your baby's injuries evaluated. It sounds like you definitely have a personal injury case, and you don't want to let the insurance company take advantage of you. Consult with a personal injury attorney as soon as you can. Most lawyers, myself included, offer free consultations, and charge no money out of pocket. An attorney can also help you and your baby obtain the medical treatment you need without paying upfront for your expenses.

    Good luck!

  • Choosing an attorney... does it matter how close he is located to where the accident took place ?

Hi! Choosing between several personal injury attorneys in the same state - should i care at all how close an attorney is to where the accident was ? Does it have any impact in practice? say, how quickly they can obtain police reports et...

    James’s Answer

No, you should choose the attorney who you think will offer you the best representation possible. Any attorney licensed in California can represent you. The headquarters of insurance companies your lawyer will be communicating with are often out of state, and police reports are easily obtained by mail or fax. Don't do yourself a disservice by choosing a lawyer that is very close, but maybe is not as experienced. My firm helps accident victims from all over the state, and distance has no affect on the quality of service we provide. Good luck with your claim and choosing the attorney that is right for you.

  • Hit by a car while riding my bike, can i pursue compensation if i did not get the license plate?

Wednesday while riding my bike i was hit by a car. I was knocked over and was in pain so i did not immediately react. At first i thought i was fine, but went to the doctor to be sure. During the checkup besides a few bruises i felt fine so i went ...

    James’s Answer

Yes, report the accident to police as soon as possible. A grade 2 concussion is a serious injury that takes time and rest to heal. You may also have a civil claim against the driver, which means that you can obtain compensation for damage to your bike, for for medical bills, and your pain and suffering. Do you have car insurance? If so, depending on your coverage, you may be able to request compensation for your injuries through your own insurance if the driver is never found.

I highly recommend that you speak to a California personal injury attorney about this accident. Most of us offer free consultations, so you have nothing to lose by call. I will be happy to answer any further questions you may have. Whatever you decide, please report the accident to the police. You don't want the negligent driver to do something like this again.

  • 12 year daughter was bitten while attending a training class at a pet store. Bite required three stitches to her lip.

She was helping another dog owner with their training and while sitting on floor the dog bit her on her lip. Just curious what do I do next?

    James’s Answer

I'm sorry to hear about this incident. Dog bites can be scary, especially when sustained to the face. I hope your daughter's injury is healing well. I strongly recommend you consult with a personal injury attorney experienced in handling dog bites. Most lawyers, like myself, offer free consultations so you have nothing to lose by calling. Take photos of your daughter's injury throughout the healing process.

Your daughter's health is what is most important. You do not want to accept a fast and low settlement from the shop's insurance before you know whether or not your daughter will need scar reduction or other future treatments. • My father was the victim of a hit and run, which totaled his car. He still owes car payments. What can he do?

Accident occurred in Pasadena, CA, but father lives in Burbank. Still owes most of the car loan to the bank, as car was fairly new. Police report filed. Father has stiff neck and upcoming doctor's appointment.

    James’s Answer

I'm sorry to hear about you father's accident. I highly recommend that you and he consult a California personal injury attorney as soon as possible. Most attorneys like myself offer free consultations, so you have nothing to lose by discussing the details of your situation over the phone. Since his car is on the new side, hopefully your father has full coverage insurance, and uninsured motorist coverage. This will help him obtain compensation for his damages and injuries in the event that the other driver is never found.
Feel free to contact me with any further questions. Good luck!

  • Am I at fault?

Earlier today, I was in my car (which was parked halfway in my driveway and halfway in the street) and had my reverse lights on and before I backed up I checked my surroundings and they were clear. & As soon as I got to the end of my driveway I wa...

    James’s Answer

Generally speaking, the car going in reverse is usually at fault. But California has 'shared liability' which means that your insurance companies may decide that each of you is partially responsible for the crash. Report the accident to your insurance company and tell them exactly what occurred.

    James’s Answer

Contact a California personal injury attorney today to discuss your options. Most lawyers, like myself, provide free consultations so you have nothing to lose by calling. We operate on a contingency fee, which means you pay nothing unless we help you successfully resolve your claim. There are no out of pocket costs and an attorney can help you manage your current bills until your case is settled. Any attorney you speak to will need further details regarding your accident in order to evaluate whether or not you have a claim. Good luck!

    James’s Answer

I'm sorry to hear about your accident. From what you say, it does not sound like you are at fault. Drivers often use the excuse that a motorcyclist "came out of nowhere" and unfortunately insurance companies will make decisions based on their own client's statement. Have you reported the accident to your own insurance company?

Although you say you were not injured, I would still urge you to discuss the details of your accident with a personal injury attorney. You are getting jerked around, and it's not right. Liability disputes can be difficult to navigate, even with property damage seemingly in your favor. Any witness statements would definitely help your case. Good luck, and feel free to contact my office with any further questions.
