In Matter of X

Case Conclusion Date: 02.13.2013

Practice Area: Immigration

Outcome: Termination of Removal Proceedings

Description: Lawful Permanent Resident client was detained and arrested upon arriving back from a cruise trip. CBP officers found an unprescribed pill of Ketamine. He was criminally charged for possession of drugs, but such charge was dismissed in criminal court. Subsequently, DHS/ICE proceeded to charge him with having admitted to the possession of a controlled substance. Through aggressive advocacy, and brief submission, we were able to obtain Termination of Removal Proceedings, as opposed to filing for Cancellation of Removal relief.
