I just want to thank Michael for going over and above the call of duty for me and my cases . He was very thorough and even had prior cases retracted that I had plead guilty to save me and my family hundreds of dollars. On September 21, around 3 am i got caught driving under the influence and i got sent to jail. In jail the first thing on your mind, besides being entirely embarrassed and ashamed of yourself, is how the hell am i going to get out of this one? How are you going to pay for this? what will your siblings say? and of course, should i get a lawyer? I had heard stories in the past that getting a DUI, being super common, is stupid to hire an attorney. They say they do absolutely nothing for you, and just want to take your money. With that being said, i didn't want to get one, i figured i could do it on my own. As time went by, deadlines started coming up and i was struggling. A friend referred me to her lawyer. His name is Michael L. Fell. I remember walking into his office for the first time. I was greeted by the receptionist with a kind smile and a simple hello. She then proceeded to tell me i could wait in the room to the side, and brought me a cup of coffee. Immediately my nerves of walking into a lawyers office calmed almost completely. Upon talking to mike about my DUI, i was skeptical, especially because of everyone saying that lawyers don't want to help you, they just want your money. I am glad i went to try it out because Mike was the complete opposite. He laid everything out on the table. He told me his background and all the experience he has in the court system. I wouldn't have to go to any court dates, wouldn't have to make phone calls, wait in line...absolutely nothing besides pay the court fees. I decided to hire mike, for the mere fact that he was honest the whole way through, he was respectful of how i felt, he made me feel safe about my decision. Not only did he speed up the process of getting my licence back, dropping a count, and bumped a fee off my balance, but he kept me in the loop the whole time. He called me and updated me on the status of our court dates. He assured me that we got the best deals in court, and he still gave me options before he spoke for me in court. Mike isn't your typical lawyer. He develops a relationship with you that helps the DUI anxiety go away. I am so glad i met mike. Its now a little over a year since i met him, and everything's clear. I got my licence back about 1-2 months after i lost it, and i'm already done paying my fees. I didn't have to miss work because he stood for me at every court session and did all the paper work. He handled everything, with 100% my say in all decisions. This respectable lawyer is incredible, and i would recommend him to everyone.

Michael Fell is an experienced, trustworthy and well connected attorney. He helped us in a juvenile case. He knows all of the judges in juvenile court, has relationships with the DA's and even the other court representatives. Because of his experience, knowledge and ability to negotiate well, he was able to get our case dismissed after our son met the court mandated criteria. Most importantly, he gave counsel, not only in a legal sense, but in a somewhat fatherly sense to our son. Michael is a awesome attorney! I made a regrettable mistake in March 2012 with petty theft, and after talking to two other attorneys, I felt that Michael was the one that I felt most comfortable with. He gave me the facts straight up, but not in a harsh way, and told me the possible outcomes that could occur. With this being the only trouble that I have gotten into in my life (minus traffic tickets) I was able to get the case dismissed but submitting my DNA and completing counseling sessions.
It's difficult to see anything positive come out of a bad situation that you're in at the time, but I'm glad to have been able to have Michael as my attorney because going through the counseling sessions, which I most likely would have never done by myself, helped me in other situations in my life.

I recently flew to CA to testify at a parole hearing of a man who murdered my father and sister many years ago. I Was very unfortunate to have had a daughter killed by a drunk driver last year. The case was well documented and followed quite closely by local and national media. Mr Fell represented our interests as a crime victim via the Marsy's law. One would think the state (prosecutor) and a private victim rights attorney would be working for the same goals. In general that assumption is very much correct. There are however some issues the victims might deem important to them that the state is neutral on. A huge example of this difference is weather to allow cameras in the court room or have no media allowed in the court room. In our particular case we wanted no cameras allowed. The state might think differently about this for several reasons including public awareness or as a teaching tool to educate the public. Neither is right or wrong just different. Another very helpful avenue a Marsy's law attorney can assist a victim of crime is in regards to the right to a speedy trial. There is every reason to have an extra attorney on your side. The court receives a double dose of reasoning so to speak. Mr Fell was an absolute gentleman to work with. His explanations of the law and his pleasant demeanor were very much appreciated. My 16 year old son had been arrested with some of his friends. Each of them had their own attorney but they let Michel take command because of his expertise in Juvenile court. I was referred to Michael through a family member of mine for a domestic violence case. I had never been in trouble with the law, so was very scared and upset. So in the end charges were not filed and since the case was not as labor intensive as Michael initially thought, he refunded me $500.
