Shirley Kim is a transactional attorney with roots stemming from her background in entertainment, banking and finance.
Before starting her own law firm, Shirley began her foray into the entertainment industry by working with such companies as: the Independent Film and Television Alliance, Mandate Pictures, The Law Offices of Litwak and Havkin, and The Law Offices of Mark Litwak and Associates. After graduating from law school, Ms. Kim started working for Odd Lot Entertainment's foreign sales division, Odd Lot International. At Odd Lot, Shirley was the Manager of International Business Affairs, where she handled the drafting and negotiation of all foreign sales contracts, managed collection of rights and royalties and dealt with many other facets of international distribution.
Shortly thereafter, Shirley pursued her passion to be more involved in the creative aspects of filmmaking and established an independent film production company where she serves as the Chief Operating Officer and the EVP of Production and Development. Shirley has produced several short films and features films to date.
In addition to running her law firm and producing films, Shirley consults for many companies in the areas of real estate, music and fashion.
Shirley received her B.A. in Speech Communication from Cal State Fullerton and went on to receive her J.D. from Chapman University School of Law in Orange. Shirley is currently completing her LL.M in Entertainment and Media Transactions at Chapman.
