My attorney and her staff were able to keep me from any jail time and drop my case from a felony to ultimately a dismissal. They are very resourceful, dedicated with lots of experience.

Mary Bernal is an outstanding attorney and person. She handled my back-to-back cases of DUI's with the utmost concern and care. Her office staff is knowledgable and easy to get into contact with. Mary stayed on top of all my court dates, paperwork, and legal counseling. When all of my penalties were assigned, she took time to explain what was going to happen before and after. Mary showed the same concern a friend would, but the professional service of an extremely experienced attorney.

We retained Mary for our nephew in February of 2012. She has been a Godsend for our family. We have yet to go to trial but everything that she has explained to us along the way has occurred exactly the way she said it would. When this incident occurred we had no idea what to do, where to go. We never imagined we would be in this position. This case has two female defendants and four brothers involved - we could only afford one attorney for my nephew with the most serious charge. Mary stepped in and worked with the other attorneys and made sure the deals they received were fair. She helped one of the other defendant's family by putting them in contact with a bail bondsman that gave them a large discount because of her. Her paralegal Maricela was fabulous! She is always helpful and willing to answer any and all questions. She always exhibits a high level of professionalism as well. Mary's colleague, Jahzeel, on occasion has stood in for Mary during our continuances at court and she is also very knowledgeable and professional. She updates us as to what we can expect in the hearings. Believe me when I say this law office is equipped with the best support staff and attorneys your money can buy. I read some of the reviews stating the attorney was all about money - I certainly hope they realize when it comes to your defense, you are getting what you pay for. When it is all or nothing, you definitely do not want to bargain shop for your future! This office is a Christian faith based practice and to know she is doing God's work reassures me she was put into our path for a reason! I am glad we did not go with the other attorneys we met with. I have faith in her and her practice - I know the outcome will be in our favor because she has God's favor. I tell everyone I come in contact with about her and I keep her cards in my purse - I would hope that my friends and family wouldn't need to call but if they do I want them to have the best! We will forever be grateful and indebted to her and her practice.

I was recommended to Mary for my son. My son is a good kid who made a bad choice and got in trouble (misdemeanors). Mary and her assistant (Maricela) were fantastic and explained everything to us step-by-step. Mary was trying to get him into a fairly new program called deferred entry of judement, even though Mary was told that my son did not qualify for it. Mary's office fought and even called supervisors at the district attorneys to get my son this program. Their hard work paid off, they dropped 1 charge and after completing one 6hr. class the remaining charge would be dismissed. Words can not express how greatful our family is to them. Thank you

Our son’s drug problems threw us into the frying pan of a complicated legal system we knew nothing about. Feeling like fish out of water, we found the task of finding a competent and caring attorney to handle his impending charges to be extremely difficult. After hiring one criminal defense attorney and paying him thousands of dollars, we felt ignored and stiffed. In our guts we knew we had hired the wrong attorney. At court, the attorney was MIA on two of three dates and instead sent a frazzled staff member. Eventually he was fired due to incompetence. In our search for another attorney, we interviewed four potential candidates. The decision was easy after speaking with Mary Bernal, and she was hired within a day of our interview.
We chose Mary because she seemed to truly care about the outcome of our son’s case and was willing to represent him aggressively. She was upfront about her fees, what our son was facing in the criminal justice system, what could happen, and what she would do to avert the worst possible outcomes. Mary attended all but one court appearance, but sent a competent substitute in her place. In the end, Mary represented our son like a bulldog protecting its owner. She fought to get his charges reduced; she inspired the court to see him as the bright and remorseful young man he is who made unfortunate choices in his youth. Had we ignored our gut, it’s not inconceivable that our son could be in prison today. Luckily this is not the case. Mary gave us our son back and helped pave the path that he needed to stay on the sober track and out of the legal system.

I honestly dont know what I would have done without Mary. I had a very difficult case on my hands and would have probably stuck with a felony on my record but had dropped to a "disturbing the peace" with a small fine. Mary is a very loving & caring attorney. Anything I needed or had questions for she was very responsive & helpful. She kept me at ease when times got hard. I just currently finished a year and half of my probabtion period and was able to get my record expunged all with the help of Mary Bernal I have my life back and Im able to pursue my career in child development and finally find a job! I would recommend Mary to anyone because she actually cares what happens to you and isnt all about the money. Money was never an issue I knew what I was dealing with before going to Mary. I know Mary is a sincere & understanding person & I want to thank her a million times for helping me out and getting me on the right path.

Ms. Bernal always did her best. She helped me on a case months a few years ago and since then each time I have asked her for further legal advice she has always been there to help me, never asking for any financial gain. She has always been honest and trustworthy. I have dealt with other attorneys and Ms. Bernal is the only one that has maintained her word, when she said she would do something she did it, I never had to worry about her doing the job that I asked for her to do and she took pride in the work she did. I highly recommend Ms. Bernal for anyone who is looking for an honest Attorney.

I hired Ms. Bernal to help my son with felony charges. She was very helpful and did a lot of hand holding for our family. She and the other attorney in her office did a very good job on my sons case. I am very glad I hired her because she was caring and honest. Did not see that she was "money hungry" at all. She was up front with what she charged for the case before trial and for trial. She promised she would try to get the best for my son before trial and she did. I would recommend her and her office to anyone. My son is back home and I am so thankful for her and her staff.

would have been better off with a public defender. constant postponing with each court date, which i feel had a very negative effect on the outcome of my case(s) had their been a aggressive approach in defending my case(s) i may have had a much better outcome. instead i have 2 felonies, 3 years probation, court order to complete programs (class which dont even pertain to my case(s)) huge court fees and the threat of going to state prison for any little thing that could constitute a violation. keep in mind i have never been to state prison, and my charges were misdemeanor offenses.

I currently have Mary Bernal as an lawyer for my husband. I've paid her $7000.00 to have my husband's case dismissed or for a joint suspension and she has yet to have done it. Not to mention she's only went to see my husband two times since his been in the county jail since sept. 2012. Now that it's time to dismissed these charges she wants me to pay her $10,000.00 to take it to trial. The grounds of dismissal is part of the $7000.00 fee. She's overall a bad attorney she doesn't come to all the court dates she sent an air head who clearly didn't know anything about my husband case the only thing she could tell me was "Mary just wanted to know if you were hiring her for trial" What the hell she couldn't email me? Just money hungry and a very bad person overall.
