I first filed my claim through a veterans advocacy origination in 2003. Though most advocacy groups know how to get your claim started it has been my experience that they do not know all the intricacies of the laws that govern the VA claims process. After four and half years of frustration I met Katrina, she took over my case and pointed out all the things that were right with my case and all the things that were wrong with the case. In my case it was not finalized until December of 2014. The VA has publicly stated that the claims process is "non adversarial" and though it is less adversarial than say a criminal adjudication it has been my experience that is NOT non adversarial. As veterans we have to be our own advocate, we have to be patient and persistent and not give up. Katrina is a great attorney, very knowledgeable, but she can not do everything for us, if she advises you that your case needs some form of documentation such as a buddy letter or an impact statement from your family, you have to do everything in your power to get it. Katrina can't help us if we are not willing to help ourselves.
I thank all my fellow veterans for there service and I thank Katrina for standing up for rights all veterans. Somewhere along this journey I came to realize that Katrina dose not do this for the money, she does it for the gratitude she has for the sacrifices we veterans make. She is and will be a great advocate for you I highly recommend her. Thank you Katrina.
Desert Shield/Desert Storm veteran.
I am awaiting a NOD hearing and wanted expert advice on representation and how to present my case. I must have contacted a dozen legal firms that touted VA disability experience but in fact had little or none. Fortunately, one such firm provided Katrina's phone number. She called back within hours and spent the better part of an hour on the phone with me and coached me on every aspect of NOD hearings as well as other claim facts. She really peels the skin back on the VA onion and tells you how things work. By far she is the most knowledgeable person I have ever talked to about the VA claim process. If I need to advance my appeal beyond the hearing officer stage, I definitely will use Katrina to represent me.
Katrina Eagle is a dedicated and skilled attorney committed to helping veterans receive the benefit entitlements they are due. I have seen her compelling and effective conference presentations educating professionals, government officials, advocates and individual veterans alike. She is a tireless advocate with a strong track record of accomplishments with veteran agencies and coalitions.
Katrina J. Eagle advocates and represents veterans and their dependents through the complicated and unique world of the VA Appeal process. She not only has represented her clients successfully but also has impacted and shaped VA processes through successful litigation before the Veterans Benefit Court of Appeals. I highly recommend Katrina Eagle if you are a veteran or dependent who is having difficulty obtaining VA Benefits.
I spent years sending the VA proof of how I was disabled during my Vietnam tour. They would get my hopes up only to dash them time after time. When Katrina was able to represent me I found that the VA did not follow up on the information that was provided them. She did not guarantee me success but said that she would insure that they researched my case. Katrina was able to compel them to actually research my case. Instead of the VA telling me not to let the door hit me on my way out I am being compensated. If you have a legitimate case she will help you.
Over the past several years I've been fortunate enough to work with Ms. Eagle on several Veteran's benefit issues. I continue to be impressed with her knowledge, compassion and dedication to ensure Veterans and their families are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. Her legal experience and ability to communicate with the Department of Veterans Affairs allowed her to achieve positive outcomes in each case of collaboration. Any Veteran or family member requiring Ms. Eagle's expertise will be pleased at the quality of service and character she presents.
Katrina is a very caring, exceptionally dedicated advocate for those of us that have had loved ones die with service related conditions. She walked me through the steps needed from my initial filing to the documentation and backup information necessary to make my claim viable. With her representation, I received my benefits within a year which was very unusual. You will be in very good hands if she chooses to represent you.
After five long, agonizing years and hundreds of hours of effort in battling the VA system by myself regarding medical issues caused by my exposure to Agent Orange , I was fortunate enough to have met another vet who recomended that I contact Ms. Eagle. What a stress relief it was having her take over and fight the VA on my behalf. . Within 12 months, I was awarded my service connected disibility rating from the VA and I could move on with my life.
Katrina Eagle is a no nonsense attorney who knows the in's and out's of the VA system. She knows how to cut through the red tape and get a quick decision. She knows the correct terminology the VA uses that would other wise leave you chasing your tail. I fought the VA for six years before hiring her. I could have cut that time down to maybe 3 years with her representation.
As a young Marine I was taught Marine Corps' Core Values
the Core Values give Marines strength and regulate their behavior; they bond the Marine Corps into a total force that can meet any challenge.
As a civilian not until I met Ms. Eagle have I had the pleasure of knowing a person that exemplifies the Marine Corp Core Value. Honor, Courage and commitment are the foundation of her values. She really cares for America’s Veteran. I can’t thank her enough, after so many years of struggle with your assistance we won. Thank you, well done (Bravo-zulu).
