I first met Kevin Buckley when I was a fellow at Washington University in St. Louis. Part of my job was to identify promising life science technologies and to subsequently commercialize them. Not only was Kevin an excellent mentor who provided his input and skills in our due diligence process- but when I co-founded a life science start-up, Kevin agreed to act as the firms IP attorney-on a deferred fee basis. While I understand this is on a case-by-case basis, I must say that there are very few IP attorneys in the mid-west who would do such a thing. Kevin not only managed our IP potfolio, but was instrumental in the firms strategic IP planning process. Last, Kevin provided valuable input and support with the start-up's fund raising processes- he contributed towards the business plan and was always available when we needed him -especially during pitches to investors. I highly recommend Kevin to any body looking for a proficient, helpful and accessible life sciences IP attorney.
Kevin is a smart, focused, go-getter who understands the value of intellectual property, and how to get projects done quickly and effectively. He's an exceptionally resourceful, creative, and solution-oriented person with a keen focus on I.P. commercialization.
