About me

Vik Chaudhry concentrates his practice on corporate reorganizations, litigation, consumer bankruptcy, collections, health care law and corporate transactional work.  His experience in complex corporate restructuring includes advising clients on various matters, including loan workouts, debtor-in-possession issues, receiverships, debtor financing and other areas relating to business reorganization.  He has helped confirm chapter 11 cases in the Southern District of California as well as the Northern District of Illinois.  He also regularly handles consumer bankruptcy cases, involving preparing petitions, advising individual debtors and creditors on their rights and responsibilities during cases, and representing debtor and creditor interests in all phases of consumer bankruptcy cases.  Clients typically praise his attention to detail and personable and caring nature.

Vik also concentrates on litigation of all kinds, including breach of contract and fraud suits.  He knows the ins and outs of litigation and the discovery process and does what is necessary in order to ensure that each client, whether plaintiff or defendant, achieves the best possible result.  Vik regularly prepares pleadings and argues before both state and federal courts.

Vik's practice in health care law covers compliance issues of all kinds, transactional work reviewing and drafting contracts in the health care arena, and even medical collections.

Vik also participates in the VC Law Group’s corporate transactional work, with an emphasis on incorporation, contract drafting and review, and non-profit work.  He advises corporate clients on issues such as incorporation requisites, achieving tax-exempt status, preparation of corporate documents and other issues.
