Matthew Koken has assisted me in Petty Theft Case and has obtained excellent results. Although he is a attorney who works on larger cases, he took the time recently to help me with a "Misdemeanor case" .
He is very professional as well as understanding. He felt that I had a decent case even though my research on the web turned up very grim statistics with regards to Petty Theft and related immigration issues. His engaging personality and encouraging words assured me I was in good hands. You know just by working with him that he knows precisely what he is doing.
He'll help you get through your case and will fight with everything he has at his disposal to return the best results possible. He knows a lot of the court judges and attorneys at the court house, and knows how to strategically position your case in a way that will give you the best outcome.
Hire Matthew Koken if you want someone who will fight for you as you'd expect to be represented. This will be money well spent.

Mr Koken should not be a criminal defense attorney, as he is not interested in offering a defense and ignores all of the evidence. We walked into my contempt trial and Mr. Koken was completely unprepared and had prepared No Defense.
Mr. Koken began by presenting Motions in Liminie, but Judge Whittney stated that Mr. Koken's motions were "not" Motions in Liminie, to which Mr. Koken responded "admit"
Luckily the judge removed him from my case, and appointed a new attorney or I would have been convicted for sure. Mr Koken has great credentials, but is more interested in being buddies with the opposing cousel, as I saw them laughing repeatedly together before trial.
After Koken was relieved as attorney of record, he got in the elevator with the Grandmother of the moving party and they were talked about how horrible I was, and then the elevator door closed.... If you want a chance to Question your accusser, enter evidence in your defense, and have a complete record of your defense on record in the trial court, then stay away from Mr. Koken
