Joel is a great guy and excellent lawyer. I met him while in the law library and he went out of his way to help me find some books I needed. Since then we have worked together on some issues and I've gotten to know him well. Joel is diligent about everything he does, and he genuinely cares about "winning and losing" -- not about collecting a paycheck, but about winning and losing. Joel is also the first to admit when he doesn't have the expertise to handle a case or situation. These things really set him apart from some other lawyers I have dealt with in the past.

Relationship: Worked together on matter
I have known Mr. Hand for more than 20 years. He is an excellent advocate for his clients, and is particularly effective in trial, hearings and negotiating for his clients. I have had the opportunity to watch him in trial, and his knowledge of the law combined with his skill as an eloquent and articulate orator was clear to everyone. We now are partners and I recommend him without reservation.
