Jill Marie Sullivan's Peer Endorsements

Jill is a dedicated litigator and ace mentor. Picture Jill, as I saw her, arguing passionately in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of her client in a complicated appeal. After Jill stepped away from the podium, a pregnant silence filled the room until one of the judges broke it with a compliment on the record extolling Jill's oral argument. The audio is available on the Court's website, and the published opinion is favorable. Jill is a learned advisor and courtroom warrior for her clients. Few young attorneys are as lucky as I to learn from such a mentor.

I worked with Jill for many years while at Latham & Watkins. She is as sharp as they come. Jill is a brilliant tactician, one of the best brief writers I've ever encountered, and very strong in the court room. An excellent advocate!

Ms. Sullivan is an excellent litigator. I was fortunate enough to work closely with her on one matter in the pre-trial and trial stages. Ms. Sullivan had all of the issues down backwards and forwards and ultimately delivered a knockout closing argument. On several occasions I suggested to her that she has a future as a judge but she was always quick to state that she enjoys litigating too much to consider a career on the bench.
