Samuel C. Gazzo practices all phases of civil litigation across a broad range of specialty areas including personal injury, premises liability, construction, real estate, employment, professional malpractice, civil rights, contract, products liability, insurance bad faith, trade secrets, and, director and business disputes. Mr. Gazzo also acts as principal legal advisor to corporate and public entities, and individuals throughout California.
Prior to joining Daley & Heft, Mr. Gazzo was an active duty Officer in the United States Marine Corps. Serving as a Civil Law Officer, Mr. Gazzo provided legal advice regarding a wide range of issues including claims under the Federal Tort Claims Act, Military Claims Act, and Personnel Claims Act, copyright and trademark law, and water law. Serving as a Trial Counsel, Mr. Gazzo defended and advised hundreds of Marines and Sailors at General and Special Courts-Martial. He tried numerous cases to verdict, and was recognized as the best trial lawyer by the U.S. Army’s Justice School in Charlottesville, Virginia. As a member of the Selected Marine Corps Reserve, Mr. Gazzo activated and deployed as an Intelligence Officer for two consecutive combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mr. Gazzo has since successfully served in key staff positions and positions of increasing leadership for up to over 700 Marines.
