Ron was referred to my family for a legal issue and we found him to be professional, upfront and to the point. We are amazed at how accessible he is. Always available when we needed him. If he happened to be busy with another case he was very good about telling us when he would get back to us and was very diligent about follow up.
He was comforting and supportive during a very difficult time. Ron was able to negotiate a deal with the local authorities that would not create future negative issues for a one time bad decision. He had a good understanding of how local government/judicial system worked and adapted very well when circumstances changed with the case. He took a personal interest in our case and we felt like he genuinely cared about our family. We would highly recommend Ron Powell. We found his services to be a very good value for the money we spent on our legal issue. Solid Representation and someone that you can count on.

Went in with a felony and four misdemeanors, now, with Mr. Ron and my completion of the community service, I will have all charges expunged. Hopefully will not need his help again, but he will be the first person I would call. Thank you again.

I was in a very difficult situation. A family member had been charged with a felony by the San Bernardino District Attorney’s office. The allegations were sensitive enough in nature so seeking an attorney that has the experience with a proven track record had been the utmost number one benchmark. I had to appear in Juvenile Court in 3 weeks. I interviewed other law offices before deciding on the Law offices of Michael Sacafiddi – San Bernardino, CA Criminal Attorney. As well, Mr. Ron Allen Powell an attorney for the Scafiddi Law Group had been highly recommended by my sister in-law a paralegal as well Mr. Powell came highly recommended by the law firm she works at in the city of Los Angeles.
It was very easy to make contact with Mr. Powell. I was able to reach Mr. Powell on his cell phone on the first attempt. After expressing the particulars of my situation with Mr. Powell, he explained the legal process to me and showed genuine concern for the allegations. He thoroughly explained every step which eased my nervousness and Mr. Powell made sure that I was comfortable with the process.
Mr. Powell and the staff at Scafiddi Law group kept me informed of all the developments and answered all of my questions promptly. I know that Mr. Powell had other cases but he handled my case as if it were his only case. Mr. Powell and staff were able to secure a Deferred Entry Of Judgement (DEJ). Mr. Powell and the Scafiddi Law Group has done everything right in order to get me a fair outcome. Mr. Powell, My family and I thank you for your wisdom, insight and kindness but most of all for securing a just outcome.

Powell is overbooked and missed many hearings due to other cases. He never visited my son in jail. We never knew what was gong on until that day. After months of waiting, once the sentence was over, he did not come out and talk to us. Very disappointing to put trust in the system and then not have a good attorney. Not recommended.

This was the worst investment of my life. I hired this attorney on a DUI case. He totally screwed me. 1st felony dui got 2 years vs the 16 months the public defender was offering. Lawyer said they "roll they red carpet when he walks into the court room" YEAH RIGHT. Claimed he's a big time murder lawyer been practicing over 20 years. Just so happens that now facing an exposer of 9 years on a .07 dui with no injury. Originally seen as a misdemeanor. I have retained another attorney to help with this ludacris sentence. If you want to be in a worse position than your public defender hire this guy. He met 1st time in court room. Gave him all the supporting documents and he didn't even review them with to even know what he received. Every lawyer has said this was malpractice! If this lawyer handled the misdemeanor DUI prior to the felony max would be 6 months vs trying to fight 9 years. This guy is a joke then responds and tells my girlfriend she is co-dependent. He was fighting against me not for me the entire time. That's not what he was hired for. I wish I made better decisions with my freedom. He talks too much and does nothing. If you made a mistake and need help don't go here. You will regret it like I do.

My son has been in the same school district from kindergarten through the eighth grade. He is an honor roll student, and he has never been in trouble in or out of school. So, you can imagine the shock and fear that my son's mother and I felt when he was arrested at school and taken to a juvenile detention facility. Earlier that Monday he was called in to the principal's office for a text message he had sent the prior week, outside of school. His phone was confiscated, and he was interrogated by school officials and a school resource officer. By the time his mother arrived, his text message was characterized as a "criminal threat", and he was being handcuffed and taken away.
We felt certain that this was a big misunderstanding. Surely, if we reasoned with the authorities, they would see that our son was a good boy that had chosen an inappropriate way to express his emotions.
We were in for another shock. Not only would he not be released to his parents, but he was now facing a felony charge of "criminal threats", and he would be held for two more weeks until another hearing. We had to do something more to protect our son. So, after several pone calls and advice from experts, we were referred to the Law Firm of Michael A. Scafiddi from a very reliable attorney.
We were told that Ron Powell would be handling our case. Both Mike and Ron assured us that they would treat our son as if he were their son. They followed up with that promise. Ron began work on my son's case the evening we arrived. He continued to work assiduously until my son's court date and resolution of the case. Ron visited our son at the juvenile detention facility the day after we hired him. His visit helped to alleviate some of the angst my son was feeling. He also followed up with a visit before the court date. Ron asked for the reports necessary to have a fair evaluation of our son at his hearing. Ron was in constant communication with us and the office of the district attorney to ensure that my son would be given every legal protection afforded to him by our judicial system. He guided us and directed us in creating an action plan that we could present to the district attorney and the judge. That advice alone may have saved our son from a felony charge and more time in the detention facility. After a three week ordeal, we got our son back and we are working to restore a sense of normalcy to our lives. I can say, unequivocally that my son was represented by the best in the business. I am so grateful for the tremendous work and legal advice we received from Ron Powell and Michael Scafiddi.

Mr. Powell is a true professional. He is a very personable attorney. He wants the best possible result from your case and will strive for it. An example was when he delivered more at the court hearing than from our initial consultation. Needless to say we are extremely happy.

Ron Powell has been working a unique murder case for our family. It is a case of a wife found by her husband stabbed to death in the home. The Sheriffs Department accused and arrested the husband 6 months later on circumstantial evidence. Both the wife's family and the husbands family are in support of the defense. In the first trial, Councilor Powell was professional and attentive at all times to the needs of both families and to the details of the trial. He never had moments of hesitation or confusion in his examinations. He was always prepared and direct with his trial presence. I say the first trial, because it ended in a 9 not guilty and a 3 guilty "hung jury". In quotes post trial, jury members revealed that it was an actual 11 not guilty and 1 guilty the day before deliberation concluded. A single juror, an alternate no less, had convinced two other jurors to side with him. A new trial date has been set and Ron Powell will again defend the case. We our confident that the defense will win out all twelve jurors. We are also confident that Mr. Powell will again conduct himself in a professional and aggressive manner to make sure that " the right thing is done" to argue this case. I would recommend Mr. Powell for murder/violent crimes defense cases.
