I was born and raised in New York City. After graduating from Claremont McKenna College, I worked at two CPA firms (the first was a national-size firm, the second had offices in Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage) and obtained my CPA license, which is now inactive. Then, I went to law school in Sacramento.
About My Answers & Legal Guides Posted on Avvo
To anyone who reviews my answers or contacts me privately with a legal question or concern, please note the following:
Perhaps you have noticed that many answers to questions on Avvo also have a “disclaimer” at the end of the attorney's answer. According to Wikipedia, “the term disclaimer usually implies situations that involve some level of uncertainty, waiver, or risk.” Most of these disclaimers state that this answer is not considered legal advice and that the answer does not create an attorney-client relationship. Since it would be impracticle to post all facts online, any answer I may offer also comes with a disclaimer.
Also, since almost all cases I have involve several hours of work, I require a fully executed written contract to be signed by the clients, so that they are properly aware of the fees and obligations involved. Of course, all conversations and email with a prospective client will be treated as confidential and privileged.
Until a fee agreement is signed by the client and the attorney, a non-client remains responsible for any and all deadlines and expiration of any statute of limitations for any claims that the non-client may have.
Please contact me privately through my Avvo profile, if you have any questions or concerns about hiring my firm to represent you on any matter. My firm's web site has free sample letters for typical consumer credit disputes.
