Mr. Brennan is the only attorney I trust to handle my legal matters. He's been very helpful in taking care of my situation. He is very easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable about the law (loved his broadcast on Bob McCormick's "Money 101" KFWB!) and explains things to me in a very professional manner that I can understand.
Bob Brennan is a very knowledgeable and conscientious attorney. He gives attorneys a good name because of his honesty, his desire for justice, his willingness to stick his neck out for the little guy, and his hard work. He is one of the most successful litigators out there, routinely winning cases against major corporations that have committed fraud against the "little guy" (and getting recognized with the Super Lawyer award many years running because of this track record) - leveling the playing field and giving the little guy a fighting chance for justice. From my observation, he wins because he does his homework, and he genuinely cares about advocating for his client and doing the best job he can do. I go to him for legal advice when I need it, and I trust it because I know he has thought through the various consequences, he is not just giving me a glib answer. He has gone an extra mile for me on several occasions, giving me more than I asked for, demonstrating his care for doing what he does well, and wanting to make sure I got the result that I needed.
Mr. Brennan claims to give out free consultations, I did not speak with Mr. Brennan until my suit was file and even then it wasn't until months later. Nonetheless his staff were nice enough to keep in the loop. Once I finally got the opportunity to meet with Mr. Brennan he proceeds to only talk about himself for the first 45 minutes of my hour with him - leaving me feeling confused as I still did not know what was happening in my case. Leading up to a potential settlement, be warned, as Mr. Brennan's attitude towards my case changed once he saw dollar signs heading our way. Mr. Brennan's websites all claim that he is a "Consumer Advocate" - plainly he just wanted my case to settle, so he can collect his attorney fees.
My family contracted with Bob for a personal injury accident against a major corporation. Bob was great with his advice to us on not settling too quickly. He assured us of his confidence in his trail prep and quelled any queries we had through out the arduous process. With communications thru various methods like phone calls, texts, emails, etc....we were constantly kept up to date with the latest developments in our case. This was much appreciated as we do not reside in California and our distance made in person meetings virtually impossible.
We found Bob's office to also be very knowledgable and helpful. He has a team that is second to none.
I only wish I resided in the LA area to retain Bob for my other legal needs.
I discovered that a major cellular company had incorrectly reported negative information to the credit bureaus. When they refused to correct their error I retained Mr. Brennan to resolve the problem. He filed a lawsuit against the company and very quickly he was arguing my case in court. After only a couple hours of testimony the cellular company presented a cash settlement offer which also included retracting any negative information reported to all the credit bureaus. Bob and his firm were incredibly thorough, professional and responsive, and provided frequent progress updates throughout the entire case.
The outcome of the case was acceptable, they opted for the second option available to the defending party. However, the process using Mr. Brennan and Assoc. was lacking in many areas.
It is truely a mill, you rarely speak directly with the atty. most of the time it is email correspondence with a paralegal. We were never kept informed about anything at any time.
I my case they did not inform us of a settlement offer for 2 months, we found out about the offer at my deposition from the opposing atty. SHOCK !!!
If you are looking for a atty. to lead you through the process explaining along the way then you should look elsewhere, if you are familiar with the process and need counsel only, then this is the place for you.
We had an urgent and severe difficulty relating to our mortgage and a home that was destroyed in a landslide.
Bob was fully engaged, superbly prepared, always on time, and kept us informed every step of the way.
In court, his presentation was far superior to the opposition's; he was and is extremely believable, direct and sincere.
He's a brilliant man and a great attorney.
We won, of course!
Well, the most important part - the outcome - worked out fine. They convinced the manufacturer to buy back my vehicle with little hassle.
However, I never actually spoke or dealt with the lawyer once - everything was handled through a secretary and a paralegal, and they were both "thick" to deal with and basically just an email forwarding service. Even after sending over every document requested, they had difficulty making sense of it. I had to do a lot of (what should have been obvious) explanations through them to the manufacturer.
When the manufacturer tried to low-ball their offer, the email forwarding service continued, and again, I had to do the negotiating. Throughout the entire process, you could tell that I was one of hundreds of cases, and the secretary and paralegal couldn't seem to care less.
So, would I recommend them? I guess - they did get the job done, but it was a lot harder than it had to be and I would have left a couple thousand on the table if I did not negotiate and do a lot of work.
