The Law Office of Amira Al-Alami was established to better serve immigrant communities in need. As an immigrant herself, Amira understands the often daunting obstacles that immigrants encounter in attempting to legalize their status in the United States pursuant to our country’s complex immigration laws.
It is for this very reason that Amira decided to open her own law firm so that she could give every client individualized attention. At the Law Office of Amira Al-Alami, communication is an integral part of the practice so that a client is not treated like another file but like a person whose entire life may be affected because of their immigration status. It is Amira’s desire to ensure that every client is treated equally, and that any fears or concerns they may have will be addressed immediately.
AMIRA AL-ALAMI, is the Owner and Managing Attorney of the Law Office of Amira Al-Alami.
She began practicing immigration law in 2004 at her former law office of Haddad & Al-Alami, PLLC, in Lubbock, Texas with fellow Texas Tech University School of Law grad, Racy Haddad Gordon. While practicing in Lubbock, she made regular weekly appearances on Telemundo News, Channel 46, speaking about hot topics in immigration law.
Amira then joined the law firm of Frank & Morton, LLP in Los Angeles, California in September 2006 and after almost two years, once again transitioned into her own law practice in Glendale, California. That practice has grown and is now located in Pasadena, California where Amira and her team continue to service the immigrant communities of the United States and abroad.
Ms. Al-Alami has appeared on Telemundo News, Canal 52 and "Al Rojo Vivo" in Los Angeles, California to speak to the Latino communities across our country about immigration law and knowing their rights. Additionally, you may have also seen her on TV Azteca, Canal 22, Mundo Fox, Canal 52 and Canal 34.
Professionally, she is serving as the 2013-2014 Vice Chair for the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), Immigration Section Executive Committee and one of the co-liaisons for United States Citizenship and Immigration Services for the same organization.
Ms. Al-Alami received her Bachelor of Science degree in International Economics from Texas Tech University located in Lubbock, Texas in 2000, graduating magna cum laude with highest honors. Thereafter, she went on to receive her JD from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2003.
