The last man standing

Victoria L Clemans

Case Conclusion Date:June 6, 2013

Practice Area:Criminal Defense

Outcome:Dismiss after short period of diversion, no labor or fines

Description:My client was charged with selling alcohol for a profit. There were 5 other people arrested on the same night. All of them plead guilty at the first pre-trial except for my client. All of them ended up doing 90 hours of community labor. Now they have to close the bar down on Sunday and Monday just to do community labor. Can you imagine the money they're losing? We stood strong until trial. On trial day, the court made us an offer, also known as "an open plea". It had NO COMMUNITY LABOR, NO FINES, NO FEES, NO COMMUNITY SERVICE. Just obey all laws and dismiss at end of a short period. Happy Client. :)
