Jason K. Feldman spent the first five years of his career as a criminal prosecutor in Portland, Oregon where he tried over 40 cases to a jury, argued in hundreds of judicial hearings, and assisted in a capital murder prosecution. Mr. Feldman served in the District Attorney’s Felony Drug and Vice Division where he mastered search and seizure law, conducting nearly 1,000 grand jury proceedings, orchestrating sting operations, and executing search warrants. Mr. Feldman was also a founding member of the federally funded Domestic Violence Intervention Team, coordinating law enforcement agencies and community resources to fight domestic violence at a grass roots level and prosecute offenders. Mr. Feldman served with distinction in the Child Support Enforcement Unit and prosecuted various misdemeanor crimes including assaults and DUIs.
Upon his return to Southern California, Mr. Feldman was selected to analyze and investigate criminal convictions involving officers implicated in the Los Angeles Rampart Police Scandal. He filed habeas corpus petitions in Los Angeles Superior Court, as well as the California Court of Appeals. In addition, Mr. Feldman reviewed and investigated requests by convicted prisoners for DNA testing of retained biological evidence and composed post-conviction motions and argued at evidentiary hearings for the release of innocent prisoners. Mr. Feldman continues the practice of criminal law, representing all types of defendants, with particular expertise in drug offenses, theft cases, and violent felonies.
Mr. Feldman has applied his trial expertise in the civil arena extensively. He formerly worked with the Chan Law Group, focusing on international business law and intellectual property. In 2003, Mr. Feldman founded the Law Offices of Jason K. Feldman, specializing in entertainment and business law. In 2010, Mr. Feldman teamed with Ian Wallach to form Feldman & Wallach. Jason Feldman is my law partner, and a large part of the reason why I chose to re-enter the private sector. He is diligent, compassionate, and tirelessly fights for his clients, with a track record that is incredible, and is as impressive as his results. For good reason, he is well-respected in the legal community, and his expansive client list illustrates that once someone entrusts a legal matter to Mr. Feldman, they will rarely, if ever, work with another lawyer. It is an honor to practice with him.
