I had asked a questions regarding the child visitation for a parent that had relocated out of state. His response..."grow up and think about the children instead of yourself" Really? He had absolutely no background on the relationship that my ex husband and I have, which is very amicable. He ASSUMED there was friction, or that we were fighting about visitation. Instead of simply providing the information requested (which another lawyer did immediately) he took it upon himself to act as though he was trying to break up a fight in the school yard. Very unprofessional.

I was searching for an attorney on Avvo.com and came across Mr. Cohen. I sent him an email with a few details about my case and received a call back within 5 minutes. I was surprised Mr. Cohen called me back so soon as it was a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately Mr. Cohen wasn't able to help me with my case because of my geographic location. However he still took the time to talk with me and guided me in the right direction. Because he took the time I now know what to look for in an attorney in my area. Thank you very much you're awesome.

As the Christmas holiday period was going full force, I had a legal question that I suspected would not be answered in time for fruition. Atty. Stephen Cohen changed that by providing a simple and straightforward answer in lickety-split time on AVVO.com. His answer had profound effects; it saved me and public entities valuable resources because what I would choose to do with his generous assistance would be streamlined and not impose undue burden on public entities (Superior Court, to be exact). As a taxpayer, be happy. Atty. Cohen selflessly helped ensure only properly filed papers be filed instead of a well-intended motion that could usurp the valuable time and energy of our public servants.
Atty. Cohen has impressive depth and breadth not only with the law but also of common sense and practicality. He focused on the genuine issue, not being sidetracked on emotional misdirection or misguided assessments. From my experience, I presume the caliber of service he provides to his clients has to be a strong and zealous advocary where only the best interests of his clients are considered viable. He addressed my concerns with accuracy and expediency, and I am grateful for his candor and compassion. How he addressed my question showed he had impeccable legal skills and could be as versatile as appropriate for each client regardless of the deviation of the circumstances. I am grateful for his direct approach and on-point evaluation, and I believe he has a fierce capacity to fight any legal battle to eek out the best possible outcome even when the scenario is not a pretty one.
Atty. Cohen's technical knowledge and competency with the law is above reproach, and in light of the fact that he is proficient in many areas of law, you can't go wrong in having an attorney who fights for underdogs (when no one else will) allow his true passion, dedication and diligent commitment rise to the surface and shine bright. Contact him to direct your legal challenges to your best advantage so that you too can triumph with having all options laid out and then the best one is chosen.

I was married for twenty five years, however the recent changes in the economy greatly decreased my earnings. My wife, when she divorced me, wanted alimony based on old earnings and did not disclose her under the tables earnings. Mr. Cohen brought all of this to the attention of the court and I am paying no alimony. He did this at a very reasonable expense. He returned my phone calls and e-mails timely, answering my questions and even anticipating, and explaining, concerns about custody and visitation even before I asked. I would recommend him to anyone obtaining a divorce in California. Hes a Pro lawyer.
