Ms. Combs handled my divorce settlement & child custody case. She ca me into court repeatedly unprepared, disorganized and asked me the same questions repeatedly as though she were new to the case. Her unprofessional manner was demonstrated on more than one occasion when the judge reprimanded her behavior, lack of respect for the bench and courtroom and opposing council, She omitted key pieces of information regarding the law and what i was entitled to in the settlement and urged me to take the settlement i was offered, led me to believe it was the only option and couldn't keep her facts straight. When we met prior to our court appearances she would ask me what we should do instead of providing me with any options, then she wouldn't follow through on the options we had discussed and seemed indifferent to the outcome and the process. On 2 different occasions she filed motions without anything to substantiate the request and at one point the judge had to halt the hearing to do the research she should have and himself came up with the justification for the order and request we had filed. She did not return phone calls in a timely manner, sometimes taking weeks to respond and making a high conflict situation even more tense. When confronted she had no explanation or apology. Her attitude offended the judge and had a negative impact on the situation. She did not follow through on any of the points she assured me she would and even when asked for my file she could not locate it to provide it.
