As a trial attorney, my goal is simple – that is to win cases and to do so in the most economical manner. I like to get to the point quickly and I firmly believe that attention to detail, a firm grasp of facts, a can-do attitude and a healthy dose of common sense is the best way to achieve success.
I represent both Plaintiffs and Defendants in business disputes. My practice focus is commercial litigation and disputes involving shareholders and partners. Quite often, those disputes involve business fraud, breaches of contract, theft of trade secrets and unfair competition. Also, when businesses are controlled by a small number of owners, disputes often arise as to the management and control of the entity giving rise to claims for breaches of fiduciary duties and subsequent attempts to oust one or more owners from management positions. For almost two decades, I have successfully helped businesses and their owners obtain outstanding trial results in each of these areas.
I have a degree in finance and economics and before practicing law, I worked for a multi-national bank and then for the Federal Reserve. In business disputes, the ability to quickly read, understand and interpret financial documents is a necessity in today’s business environment and one which most attorneys unfortunately do not possess. My finance background and work experience has been an invaluable asset in helping my clients to achieve outstanding business results.
What sets me apart from other attorneys is that I take the time to develop personal relationships with clients and I am genuinely interested in understanding what is important to them. Litigation is not easy and “winning” is not always measured by the amount of money recovered or saved. Quite often winning can be as simple as ending a dispute to achieve peace of mind. What better way to achieve optimal results for a client than to truly understand what is important to them!
