About Me

After a pre-law school life as a journalist, then three years of training as a research attorney for a Justice on the California Court of Appeal, I turned to private civil litigation practice, eventually earning the distinction of certification by the California State  Bar as an appellate law specialist.  About 80% of my practice is devoted to civil appeals and writs thoughout southern and central California.  I have handled over 100 appeals through decision and I have consulted on hundreds of other, in areas of law including family law, probate, insurance coverage, labor law, environmental law, business litigation, class action law, and professional liability.  I maintain offices in Santa Barbara and Century City.  I am AV rated by Martindale Hubble and I have been named a Southern California Superlawyer for the past three years.
