Ian is a consummate professional with a bold, however, not cocky, presence & disposition—a primary function of anybody wishing to influence people, broadly; in the specific case of counsel, of course, this includes counterparties, judicial practitioners & adjudicators. It's a transcendent gift to which few can lay veritable claim—something in which I have tremendous experience from the perspective of the business world & may therefore offer a qualified opinion in regards to effecting positive outcomes vis a vis the desired goal is for whatever aim is it hand. In the end, much of any successful outcome to legal issues comes down to judicial perception & likability of those representing their clients. So—preamble complete—Ian excels at deft navigation of what is our complex legal framework. He remains flexible when necessary, yet will bite your head off, should your contribution to the process be detrimental to your case (first hand account). That is why one hires a lawyer. That is why I hired Ian. He stopped me from blowing myself up, as a layman with just enough knowledge to be a danger to myself. I am serving no time. I have paid no fines. I have no convictions on my record. Thank you, Ian. I highly recommend him. Don't let the soft picture confuse you—he is a legal cage-fighter.

Ian approached me after court for a DUI and hit and run charge. He was not pushy and didn't ask about representing me, but sat down with me and heard my case. He offered me advice and educated me on the matter, I was pretty nervous and shocked about the additional charge as I was simply just moving my vehicle out of traffic, but he was very reassuring and easy to talk to. He said if I needed anything to contact him and left it at that. Since I was new to the whole court thing and had no previous issues with the law, I reviewed my options and decided to contact Ian to meet with him further. He was easy to talk to, quick to respond, and knowledgeable. My case prolonged for about 4 months and during that time I felt confident that Ian was doing his best in representing me. He was able to get the hit and run dismissed and I was charged for a DUI. I would recommend Ian to anyone who needed representation.

Ian is the best lawyer I could've asked for. From the start, I knew I could trust him. He has made me feel comfortable and confident that he always has my best interest at heart. His attention to detail and passion is unmatched. He is well versed and captivating, which was extremely beneficial in swaying the jury to our favor. The amount of time he dedicated to prepping me and himself for trial was incredible. He is an extremely talented lawyer and anyone reading this should look no further. I promise you that, with Ian, you couldn't be in better hands.

Ian is phenomenal! I contacted him for a dui case, he was very knowledgeable and informative on California law and how to handle the situation. He is very inviting and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs an attorney to get the job done.

I asked Ian Michael Wallach a legal question that he has answered honestly and in details. And, he has generously put it under his first free consultation. He took his time to exchange few emails with me making sure he had all the details about my case and that I understood the answers fully. A great attorney, and a great man.

We found Ian through the recommendation of our friend, a successful civil rights attorney. From the first phone call to the favorable resolution of our case, we felt we were in good hands. Ian gave us sound advice, listened compassionately to our concerns, and was strategic in his handling of the case. Needing to find a good attorney can be a stressful situation to find yourself in, and while Ian's casual approach and confident manner put us at ease, his knowledge of the law and his skill in the courtroom saved us.

I have written/ deleted/ rewritten this review a few times now, trying in previous iterations to be professional, but, to speak from my heart, read the title of this review. I talked to an old lawyer of mine about my case, and he's the kind of guy that won't go out unless he's got on his Armani/ Klein, whatever, and I have never felt very comfortable talking to him. Well, he didn't ask much about my case/ situation, just put down the price and told me to get back to him. I went and saw Ian out of sheer luck finding avvo, and, this guy saved my f**ing life. I was in a position to be looking at a felony, and probably at MINIMUM a very serious misdemeanor, and I walked out of court with neither. Had the case gone any other way, I'd be out of a job/ house/ pretty much done for, and Ian HANDLED it. It's funny 'cause another lawyer mentioned his "surfer demeanor", which, is no joke. The guy is kick back when you're talking to him. I actually was nervous for a second when we first started talking thinking "is he TOO chill?", and then he asked about my case, asked about everything I was upset my other lawyer hadn't asked about, started talking about defenses, and started to prove that yeah, while he doesn't come across as a d***, he is a SERIOUS M******F****** when it comes down to it. Answered all my calls, regardless of the hour , (to a point where I told him "dude, I was just going to leave you a message, you don't have to pick up EVERYtime), but, that's what he does. I ask a s***load of questions, too many probably for most people's liking, but Ian answered every single one of them, usually in less than an hour. When we first met, not 20 minutes into the conversation he told me that this is what he loves to do. I thought "Yeah, if I were a lawyer, I'd say that too". But he wasn't kidding. This man whooped some ass in my defense, and when we stepped out of the courthouse I said "F*** a handshake, bring that s*** in for a hug", and I could seriously see that this is what he LOVES to do; helping out people who maybe just had a bad luck of the draw. Ian, I could never begin to properly pay you back for what you did for me, but, I can thank from the bottom of my heart man. Sincerely. Thank you.

I started working with Ian Wallach in July 2014 on a personal and embarrassing issue involving a close family member.
The first thing I appreciated from Ian was that he understood from our very first interaction how difficult it may be for a client to ask for help while feeling embarrassed and disgraced, so I felt more comfortable to openly discuss the issue. Secondly, Ian was very knowledgeable with the whole process and he was able to foresee what was going to happen in the next view steps of my case. I have no knowledge in the law which was making me feel very vulnerable and uncertain. It became apparent that Ian knew what he was doing and that he would take control in the case. Third, Ian is very passionate in his work and clearly loves what he is doing. In addition to practicing law, I think Ian would also be a suitable academic law professor; he loves talking (and writing) about the law and about cases.
At first I was a little concerned about the fee, since private practice is way more pricy and I was not able to foresee where this was going. However, Ian did an excellent job in bringing my case to a successful completion and looking back I think it was all worth it. I would like to recommend Ian Wallach as an attorney and counselor to anyone!
