Where should I start...
Mr. Kraut has helped me turn my life around.
He is a great attorney but that is not all your getting, you recieve more than just a great attorney. It's difficult to explain but on you consult with him, you will know what I mean.
Our son, who suffers from mental illness, was charged with a felony for a bazaar series of events that I won’t go into here. What I will say, is that Michael Kraut is absolutely the best attorney to whom we will be forever grateful. I contacted Attorney Kraut after our first attorney wasn’t able to get the charges reduced to our satisfaction. The charges were quite unfair due to the circumstances. I wanted a second opinion and, after much online research, I came across Michael Kraut’s website and thought “this guy sounds great”. After leaving a message at his office, he returned my call within ten minutes. He offered to review the facts of the case and give me his opinion. We spoke the next day and after hearing what he had to say, I felt a sense of hope that I hadn’t been feeling for months! We hired Kraut Law to take over the case and within a short time came to a resolution with the court. Mike Kraut knows the law and is willing to fight for you for the best outcome. He was always available to answer questions, any time of day. Besides his wealth of knowledge, I was most impressed with the fact that he was so hands on. He personally worked with us through the entire process and was available 24/7. I can’t say enough about him as a person and an attorney. You won’t go wrong with him. He’s simply the best!
I met with Michael during a very difficult time. I had two charges against me and didn't have much hope. He was quick to understand the situation and come up with a game plan. During the meeting he told me to trust my instinct with hiring an attorney. My instinct told me this was the guy I need and will get me through this. He was excellent during this process. Always responded promptly to my questions. He kept me sane during the most difficult time. AND most importantly executed our plan and brought me justice. I can honestly say he's a phenomenal attorney and great guy. I was proud to have him as my attorney!
Hiring Michael Kraut to defend a friend of mine in a criminal case was a complete success.
I did not know anything about Mr. Kraut. He was highly recommended to my friend by an attorney, who is a friend of mine. Although I was not involved in the case I was present, at my friend’s request, in many of the interviews and conversations with Mr. Kraut. The case went to criminal court and Mr. Kraut was brilliant. Mr. Kraut succeeded 100% in all the issues. After witnessing what he achieved, I highly recommend him to anyone that looks for an exceptional attorney.
Let me put my bottom line up here: I wouldn’t have taken the service of 3 other attorneys had they offered to work for free. Mike was a valuable investment that gave me a chance to move on in my life. I’m confident that had I gone with any other lawyer, I wouldn’t have walked away without being legally scathed in some way.
Pressing charges is fairly easy. Defending yourself from them is another matter entirely. After landing into my first big legal bind, I didn’t know what to expect, or who to contact. There was no room for compromise if I wanted to get out clean. I needed somebody who knew what they were doing. That’s when I started searching online for a solution, where Kraut Law kept showing up in the top of my results.
From the moment Mike directly answered my opening call, to the final court appearance, he was always personal and reassuring, but also direct in his thoughts. There was no nonsense, which I greatly appreciated.
On some level, Mike is an influential psychologist. He’s also very confident and arrogant, which I’ll argue are positive traits you should want in a lawyer. He can aggressively bulldoze the opposition, play neutral, and make allies on both sides of the bar – all with a good sense of humor. It’s that crucial and measured level of tact, combined with decades of experience, which makes him so qualified as a legal defender. I might have seen some 20 other lawyers plead their case to the court, each one of them verifying that I had made the right choice.
By the end of the whole experience, it was clear that like many things in life, the court is just another arena; another game with rules you have to play by. It’s one where you’ll want the best player on your team. Mike and his staff take pride in their work. Unlike many of the other listless lawyers I observed, he hustles to win. Even on days where you might be unsure of the outcome of your case, let Mike drive and do what he does best. Don’t go with other listless attorneys. Take Mike into serious consideration.
I would recommend Attorney Michael Kraut to anyone. While his success as a District Attorney and Criminal Defense attorney speaks for itself, my experience seeing him work with my younger sibling enlightened me to his character. I was amazed by not only his professionalism and his expertise but also his ethics and his heart.
Many people deserve second chances, especially when they make mistakes when they are so young. My sibling deserved a second chance, and Attorney Michael Kraut gave him one. He worked tirelessly to get the charges dropped and end my sibling's nightmare for good. I cannot tell you how thankful my family is for Michael's help.
Hiring Attorney Michael Kraut was the best advice any gave us in our time of need. I am happy to pass the advice along to anyone looking for a second chance.
I hired Michael Kraut because I was facing some serious charges in California while on vacation from Hawaii. I was charged with a felony and was facing possible jail time and ruining my life over what was an accident. The accident was serious but thankfully nobody was gravely injured and I owned up to the mistake that I had wrecklessly made. Micheael walked me through the process of this nightmare of a justice system and was honest from the get go of what I was facing. He said he would put me in the best position possible and that's what he did. It seemed like everything was going against me and that I would end up taking the full felony charge and going to jail for a period of time. Michael somehow got my felony charge dropped to a misdemeanor with 3 years probation and some community service. You don't know how relieved my family and I were to know that I wouldn't have the felony on my record and I wouldn't have to serve jail time in a state where I don't live. Michael did what he said he was going to do and he defended me to the best of his ability, and for that I am grateful!
I reviewed Michael Kraut online before calling him for legal services. He answered my phone call right away, listening attentively to my situation. He was able to meet with me right away and immediately made phone calls to my previous attorney advising him he would be taking over my case. Mr. Kraut has a very reputable law history and is very well known and respected in the court room. I've had many attorneys advise me I have the best attorney out there.
Michael Kraut and his office staff are committed to you once you retain them. Mr. Kraut goes well above the call of duty. He sincerely cares about you and your outcome. He doesn't like to lose in court which is the type of attorney you want to have. He's aggressive in court and knows the law inside and out. He personally answers your phone calls so there is no miscommunication. If I would have stayed with my old attorney I would be sitting in a jail cell right now. I have the utmost confidence in Michael Kraut and and know my legal defense is in the best hands possible.
Mr Kraut is a great lawyer who helped me out in a extreme way of making a dumb decision. I hired Mr kraut, unsure at the beginning but my first day of court he got my felony reduced to community service and a misdemeanor that I can get expunged.
I normally don't write online reviews unless I have a very favorable or a very unfavorable experience. Sadly, my experience with Michael Kraut falls in the later category. I ended up hiring Michael Kraut to help me with a DUI situation in 2009, and I delayed putting up this review until this horrid situation was entirely over, as I didn't want my unpleasant experience (and Mike’s already negative attitude towards me) to potentially affect my case.
Bottom line, I could've done everything myself and saved myself the $5K. He has an impressive sales pitch and seems very conscientious about how his image is presented on the Internet. He should devote more attention to his clients and less attention to his marketing. But then again, he would not be able to rake in as many large upfront retainers from scared folks that are getting their first DUI and want the "best" attorney to handle their case. He was friendly to me in his initial consultation, but once he got the money, he might as well have forgotten about me. I guess he deals with much more lucrative clients than me, and I may have been a lower priority for him.
He forgot about me so much so that I ended up completing the DMV required hearings and paperwork, all of the sobriety classes and my AA meetings an entire year before he bothered to schedule my court date. He came up with lame scheduling excuses and family issues to explain the delays. They were nonetheless delays, and I have to deal with the fallout from my DUI an additional year beyond what I would normally have if he scheduled my court date on time.
Every time I called to ask questions, it was like pulling teeth to get straight, pragmatic answers. His office was also physically difficult to get to, and he often requires clients to come into his office frequently to handle certain aspects of the case. If he were able to handle things with an efax and a scanner like most normal businesses do nowadays, I could somewhat tolerate his other shortcomings.
Needless to say, the outcome from my hearing an entire year and a half after my DUI was not favorable. Unfortunately, whatever hope I could conjure up re: his connections and DA experience was not warranted.
Then even after this, I reached out to him re: handling my expungement. Not that I actually wanted to, but I was hoping that he would cut me some sort of discount or give me a higher level of customer service, given the way he significantly mishandled my case. Then, he had the gall to quote me $3,500 to handle my expungement. I ended up going to a local attorney and got him to handle it for $250 (including the court filing fee of $120).
I would normally be willing to forgive an unfavorable outcome, if this guy actually showed some semblance of humility. If it weren't for his poor customer service, his blatant arrogance, and the fact that he overcharged me for a bad outcome (and then again offered to overcharge me for filing simple paperwork), I would have given him an average or more positive review.
I urge you to avoid this “lawyer” at all costs. Literally, all (and any) costs.
