Dave Boyce practices primarily in the areas of state and federal taxation and business law, including tax planning and tax controversy representation. His areas of focus include taxable and tax-free acquisitions, partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, cooperatives, exempt organizations, individuals, real estate, insolvency, international joint ventures, and the IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program.
Dave has been a frequent lecturer on tax matters and has taught in the graduate tax programs of the Loyola Law School, University of San Diego College of Law and Golden Gate University. Courses taught and speaking engagements include corporate tax, corporate reorganizations, taxation of partnerships, executive compensation, characterization and timing of income, real estate taxation, and international joint ventures.
Dave is certified as a specialist in taxation law by the California Board of Legal Specialization and is a member of the Tax Sections of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the American Bar Association.
