  • Can a man be presumed father of a non-biological child? Would he have rights?

It was not until a year later after our fourth child was born that I found out that I was not the biological father thus I filed for divorce. For some reason my attorney excluded him in the suit even though I was the primary care giver of the chil...

In the state of Nevada children born during the course of a marriage are presumed to be fathered by the mother's husband. This presumption can be rebutted, but in your case you are seeking to uphold this presumption. Because the court did not rule on this child, you will likely need to bring this matter before the court. Because of the complexity of this type of case it is best that you seek the help of a lawyer to help you file the necessary documents with the court.

  • Im 18Female, I have scoliosis , and I am 4'10-4-11 , do I qualify for disability ?

I'm 18 , I have scoliosis , and I am 4'10-4-11 , I get horrible back pain from just laying down or even going to class .

Getting approved for social security disability at the age of 18 is difficult, but not impossible. In order to give yourself the best chance for success you will need to have a doctor or doctors who are willing to state that you are unable to work. Despite this even strong claims are routinely denied by the Social Security Administration. Finally, I would recommend that you speak to an attorney who can look over your medical records and give you a better idea of the strength of a potential claim.

Medical malpractice cases such as this can be difficult to prove and require the assistance of medical professionals. However, due to Nevada law governing these kinds of cases, it is important that if you feel you have a potential claim to act quickly. Doing so can help you avoid missing strict deadlines which can have your case dismissed.

In Nevada, you are not typically responsible for child support for a spouse's children. Additionally, your income would not generally be considered.
