We are currently in the midst of creating our Family Trust with Thomas Bouman. It is obvious he knows the law and how it pertains to trusts, but I must say he presents it in a non-lawyer language so it is easy to understand. I felt emotionally overwhelmed everytime I thought of creating a trust, but he made the process as simple as having a conversation with a friend. His prices are very competetive also. All in all a painless experience!

Tom Bouman is a great attorney. He really helped me navigate my way thru the unfamiliar process of planning my estate and setting up my trust. He was patient and took the time to really explain things, making sure I understood everything as we went along. The fees for his service are highly competitive and we completed my whole estate plan within the span of 3 weeks. Pretty awesome. I highly recommend him.

Tom is very thorough and informed. He is reasonably priced and I feel he really has the client's best interest in mind. He is the only lawyer I could find in southern Arizona that would set up a gun trust for me. It is definitely worth the money to have a lawyer set up a gun trust for you instead of trying to do it on your own! I would utilize his services again and would highly recommend him.

I recently met with Tom Bouman to update my will. He is a wonderful wealth of knowledge in his profession. He is thorough and pleasant and very professional. Thomas Bouman did a great job in helping us to understand the processes and documentation of a trust fund. He was very patient in answering our questions and made sure we knew exactly what we were reading before we signed anything. Any type of legal process that involves lawyers, documents, and jargon could be overwhelming, but Thomas made sure to keep us in the loop and accommodate us in any way. I would most definitely recommend him to someone else.

Based on a recommendation from a friend, we hired Tom in 2008 to do our Family Revocable Living Trust. Tom explained every step of the process as we worked together on our estate planning documents. He is an extremely knowledgeable lawyer and is able to clearly communicate all of the intricate in's and out's of this complicated process. My wife and I felt very comfortable making the decisions we had to make during the process, primarily because we were able to understand all that was necessary to decide on the specific content of our documents. Since we established and finalized the original estate planning documents, we have met with Tom on an annual basis to review changes in the law and how they may affect our trust. Tom has prepared one ammendment to the original documents and contiues to be a trusted advisor to my wife and me. We highly recommend you consider allowing Tom to do your estate planning for you. You couldn't hire a better lawyer.

As "not a rich person" I was very happy to be able to have the services of a lawyer and to know that he will take care of my family if they need it after I am gone. He has especially been very helpful in explaining to me, without a charge everytime I have had a question. He has provided answers, as well as articles for me to read to understand the documents that I have had him prepare.

As administrator/trustee of my mother’s will/trust I looked for an excellent lawyer who charged a fixed fee. (It was strange to find myself as client rather than lawyer, particularly since I have taught estate planning as a law school professor for more years than I care count.) I hit the jackpot with Tom. He provided wonderful service for a fair, fixed fee.

Tom created a Living Trust for my father. It is impossible, here, to explain all of the circumstances; suffice to say that both emotion and time were issues. I cannot stress how sensitive Tom was to my father's needs as he proceeded to create a thorough Trust for my dad in an exceedingly timely manner. When my dad died, Tom was once again there for our family taking us through the steps necessary at a very emotional and difficult time. He is still responsive, when we have questions, over a year later. Tom will probably never really know how much his expertise and his responsiveness and sensitivity to our needs meant! (Additionally, even Tom's billing policy contributes to reducing stress and any awkwardness - once again, especially during trying, emotional periods. It also is part of what makes the client feel that he is more accessible than might otherwise be the case). We highly recommend Tom Bouman!

Mr. Bouman has been extremely helpful in clarifying my legal rights, particularly when making some difficult decisions. I've found him to be professional, courteous and competent in all my dealings with him.

Tom has done our trust twice (once was an update). He made excellent suggestions for our situation that we hadn't thought of. He listens well, communicates with us, and has been willing to answer the occasional question over the years without an actual appointment. He has also held our hands when we needed help retitling various items. In short, he's great and we highly recommend him.

I contacted Mr. Bouman to amend my current Living Trust which was more than ten years old. After a thorough review, Mr. Bouman convinced me that I needed to have it completelely re-done to cover all aspects and to fully comply with the law. He also recommended (and I agreed) to have a Retirement Plan Trust prepared for prolonged tax deferral.
I approached Mr. Bouman after checking him in the internet and I was initially concerned when I saw that his office was not staffed. After the first consultation, however, I realized that Mr. Bouman was not only trust-worthy but also very knowledgeable on Trust issues and easy to talk to.

I was referred to Mr. Bouman by my trust officer at Wells Fargo after I'd consulted a local attorney and been less than impressed.

My first contact with Mr.Bouman was by email. In his prompt reply he summarized his estate planning process, including the range of fees he charges. He later sent me a very complete bound brochure laying out in more detail the steps he uses in designing and estate plan.

On my initial appointment, I found Mr. Bouman both congenial and witty. That put me at ease. (I am a retired lawyer and am pretty familiar with the sort of person who can make a client feel comfortable.)

We went over my personal information in detail, including my how I wanted my estate to be distributed. During this interview, Mr. Bouman orally laid out my estate plan in general and promised he would deliver a complete description of my estate plan within two weeks, which he did.

At my second meeting, Mr. Bouman presented me with a draft of the provisions of my estate plan, including a pour-over will, powers of attorney and other ancillary documents. To my eye, these had been thoughtfully and knowledgably drafted. We agreed to certain revisions, and these were made on the spot. Thus I was able to sign off on my estate plan with only two meetings.

Mr. Bouman is a knowledgable estate planner. He informs the client of many considerations that wouldn't have occurred to the client. This is reassuring. I would unreservedly recommend his services to anyone seeking competent, thorough, and reasonably priced estate planning.

Tom handled all of the updating of our wills and trusts in a timely manner and was very professional.

Tom helped my wife and I with our estate planning several years ago after we had our first child. He made things simple and straightforward to understand. We did a comprehensive estate plan and Tom helped not only get the documents in order but also made sure our accounts, assets, etc. were updated to complement our estate plan and the wishes we have for our estate. My husband and I have found him to be a man of integrity. His services are fairly priced and he is timely with all written and verbal responses.

Tom has been our personal Attorney for years. He is extremely knowledgeable in all areas from simple wills to complicated Estate Planning. Since Tom has done such a fine job for my family, I now use him almost exclusively to work with my clients to solve their Estate Planning needs. In meeting a new client, Tom is very thorough in learning all he can about the family dynamics and will suggest creative solutions for them. Tom was very instructive as he went throught the ins and outs of what was required for my wife and I to create a revocable living Trust for our family. He spent several hours with us and made sure we understood exactly what the state of Arizona law required in a living trust. His explanations were clear and very easily understood. We new exactly what we had to do to provide him the data that he needed to create the document set. Tom was referred to me by my step-father and his financial broker as an estate lawyer that I could use to handle my mother's estate upon the death of my step-father. I took their advice and began consulting with Tom after my step-father passed away. He set up my mother's estate, wills and powers of attorney for me. Upon my mother's death he handled all of the transfers of money and other holdings in conjunction with my financial broker and accountant. All of this went smoothly and did not require probate. My wife and I have since used Tom to set up our estate planning and wills. We are extremely happy with where we are at with our estate planning. Tom is working in conjunction with our accountant and new financial manager. Also, our new financial manager has recommended Tom to participate in one of their programs they offer to their clients. They have fed back to me how thorough he is in setting up clients estates and his ability and willingness to coordinate with them and out accountant. He has also been available whenever we needed him. Tom has also kept us informed in changes in the law that concern our estate and has helped us modify our estate planning as we have grown older to meet our needs and our benefactors needs.

We had been given Tom's name by our insurance rep approximately 2 years prior to contacting him. Tom's name and phone number were on my desk for those 2 years and since we trusted our insurance person, we had no doubts that we would call him. We were very glad we did and were very impressed with the manner in which he talked us through what all needed to be done. We will definitely return to him if the need arises.

Tom prepared a revocable trust for me in 2004. He then amended the trust in 2006 and prepared a second trust for my wife. His work was thorough, was completed quickly, and was presented to my wife and me in a professional manner.

Tom Bouman updated our 1999 Family Trust to bring it up to 2008 and Arizona laws and standards. He was very organized and detailed as to our our options and costs in creating this document. His annual review makes my wife and I very comfortable in the assurance that our wishes wil be implemented due to this Trust.

Mr. Bouman helped my husband and me update our estate plan when my husband was ill. He then walked me through the necessary steps after my husband's death. He was responsive and cordial and took the time to explain everything carefully and clearly.

Being old(er) and having been the victim several times of dishonesty when seeking any kind of professional help; I am very afraid/hesitant of many business professionals. Tom was recommended to me by a dear friend that I trust. After contacting him to make changes on a trust prepared for me shortly after the death of my husband; I learned almost immediately that he was a warm, personable, and understanding gentleman with a lot of knowledge, professionalism, and expertise in his field. I was also to learn very quickly that Tom is not only excellent in what he does, but his compassion and honesty outweigh his desire to be concerned about fees.

Tom initially was going to "look at & check out & possibly make a change or two" to a trust that I had already had prepared by someone local to me. When he read the trust, he called me and was very open with his assessment of what he was looking at. It was obvious that my greatest fear of getting someone to do a job properly had been fulfilled by the individual who did that initial trust. Tom quoted me a price to "look over" my trust and when he actually saw it, he knew that if I died, my children would be facing a nightmare with what had.

Tom told me that he would totally rewrite my trust the way that I wanted it, one that would hold up in the courts, and that he would be there to back it all up when the time came to put the trust into action. With this information, he also informed me that since he had already quoted me a price for the initial review and minor changes to my trust, he would not charge me anything extra to do the entire document over.

I had recently become a widow and my income was/is definitely not exciting as I live on SS. Tom had no way of knowing what my financial status was when he offered to do this for me at the initial quoted price. His compassion having seen what had happened to me with the first trust and his desire to help me exceeded his desire to claim a greater fee.

It's been over a year now since Tom put my trust together and he has contacted me as a routine follow-up to be sure that everything is current. I, in fact, do have a change to be made that has come up over this past year, and I am absolutely delighted to know that Tom is there to take care of whatever it is that I need.

I would recommend him to anyone looking for an attorney in his field as you will not find a more down-to-earth, kind, honest, professional, and experienced person to do the job.

I live approximately 2-1/2 hours from his office and I would willing make that drive if and when necessary.

From my first meeting with Mr. Bouman, I felt he was an extraordinary attorney-- in his understanding of the issues of the estate, his concern and personal interest, his competence and his prompt attention to every detail. He located a real estate broker for some property owned by the estate; the house was sold within 3 hours of listing, in the worst market in history. His fees were completely reasonable.
