About Me

I am an associate attorney  with the law  firm Udall Shumway PLC in Mesa, Arizona.  I  focus my  practice primarily in  the area of education law, representing school districts and charter schools throughout the State.  Prior to joining Udall Shumway PLC, I served as in-house legal counsel for the Scottsdale Unified School District.

I have experience providing legal advice and representation to school districts on a broad range of matters including, but not limited to, enrollment, discipline, student rights, employment issues, procurement, and governing board liability issues. I have conducted many in-service training programs on a variety of topics, such as special education, staff ethics, public records, student records, bullying, hazing, student discipline, and child abuse reporting guidelines. Additionally, I have presented a variety of seminars for the National Business Institute, MEDS-PDN, and the Arizona School Boards Association.
