I am proud to be an Arizona native. I grew up in Central Phoenix and attended Phoenix Christian High School. From there I headed to Tucson to study at the University of Arizona, where I earned my undergraduate degrees. I stayed at UA for law school, where I had the opportunity to work with the Volunteer Lawyers Program on Family Law matters. I also worked as an intern for Southern Arizona Legal Aid's Public Benefits Clinic and served as a law clerk for both the University of Arizona Office of General Counsel and the Pima County Superior Court.
Following law school, I returned to Phoenix and began work as a defense attorney representing individuals and corporations on behalf of insurance companies. I successfully represented hundreds of clients at all stages of litigation, from initial pleadings to jury trials. During my years as an insurance defense attorney I learned the inner workings of the insurance industry and gained valuable experience as a litigator.
While working as an insurance defense attorney I also made it a priority to continue representing pro bono clients in Family Law, Estate, Guardianship and Immigration matters. I continue to do pro bono work for the Volunteer Lawyer's Program and The Florence Project and am pleased to offer reduced-fee services through the Modest Means program.
I started DeWitt-Lopez Law with the help of my husband. We both recognized that our community was lacking in quality attorneys who saw their clients as people not paychecks. We run the firm as a family business and are committed to providing the legal services our neighbors need. Family comes first for us, and our firm will treat YOU like family.
We see every client as an individual and will tailor our representation to suit your individual needs. Whether you need full representation or just someone to coach you along the way, we are here to help. Please call or email today to set up a meeting.
Hourly ($200-300/hour), contingent (25-40%), Fixed (sometimes), Retainer (sometimes), Pro bono (5%)

I had a case that Kristen defended. While she is a very capable lawyer, the thing that struck me about Kristen is she is clearly a compassionate human being. I'm glad to hear she is now representing people. I know that she will care about her clients and if you need legal help, I would highly recommend her.
