I have known James Kahn for 20 years. He is the essence of a true professional: a great lawyer, wonderful person and dedicated educator. I've known Jim Kahn for almost 30 years. He was a well-established lawyer when I started practice, and he was never too busy to answer a question from the new kid on the block. Over the years, I've referred him conflicts or cases that I was too busy to handle, and my reports back on his performance in those cases has been uniformly excellent. He is an excellent lawyer, and has been on the short list for Bankruptcy Judge more than once. Sometimes we're on the same side, and sometimes in opposition. His work has always been first rate in those cases. And I note that he's been awarded membership on the Superlawyers.com site; it seems fully deserved to me. Finally, the fact that JIm (as of the date of this posting) does not yet have a perfect 10 rating on AVVO demonstrates that the AVVO algorithm for judging lawyers is not yet perfect.
