Originally a native of California, Bret Royle received an undergraduate
degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Utah in 2005.
Upon graduation, he went to work for the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, working
in sustainability and urban growth. It was working in government that Bret soon
realized the benefits of a law degree.
In 2007, Bret applied and was accepted to the University of Miami School
of Law. While in law school, he was offered the opportunity to work with the
International Chamber of Commerce on an arbitration award in Kathmandu, Nepal.
While government policy and international law were of interest, Bret soon realized
his passion for criminal law. While still in law school, Bret was offered an internship
with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. It was then that he first established
roots in Arizona. Upon completion of a summer internship, a local criminal defense
firm hired him. After learning the fundamentals of criminal practice, Bret opened his
own criminal defense firm in 2011, specializing in the areas of Criminal Defense and DUI defense.
