Marc Austin

About me

I am the President and owner of Marc A. Austin, P.C. and have practiced law in Utah since 1998, licensed as both an attorney and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). I received a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University, and graduated magna cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU.

I specialize in probate, trust matters, estate planning, limited liability companies and other business entities, as well as complex tax matters. I worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PWC), a Big Four accounting firm, in Salt Lake City prior to beginning my law practice. I was named by Utah Business Magazine as one of Utah’s Legal Elite Lawyers in the area of Wills, Trusts & Estates. I currently serve as the chairman of the Utah County Estate Planners Roundtable, and as director and trustee of numerous non-profit foundations. I am married to a woman, Tami, live in Provo, and am the father of seven children.

I have worked with Marc in a variety of situations, and he is always pleasant and professional. In the times I've interacted with Marc, he has volunteered his time mentoring a new lawyer, explained complex estate issues, and advised on a full range of trust issues. I think Marc is uniquely qualified for his trusts and estates practice because of his accounting background and his CPA license. But the reason I always choose to work with Marc, rather than with other lawyers who practice in the same legal areas, is that he is so pleasant to work with. Marc is the consummate professional. I refer everyone who asks me for the best trusts and estates lawyer to Marc Austin.
