I have chosen to focus on family law because that is where the law strikes closest to everyone's heart. I understand that people come to me because they are frightened and in pain and they need an experienced attorney that they can trust. It has been my honor to help hundreds of clients through the most difficult time of their life. I can't heal broken hearts, but I do make sure that my clients come through the process with dignity, justice and hope for a future.
Although I have practiced family law for twenty years, and continue to focus primarily on family law, I have enjoyed many opportunities to share my legal skills in other areas. For eight years, I served as a volunteer panel chairperson for medical malpractice suits at the Utah Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing. For ten years, I represented abused children and children affected by their parent's high conflict divorces. I have served as a mediator for family law disputes and civil litigation. I now serve as a volunteer judge for Sandy Justice Court. I especially enjoy mentoring new attorneys and introducing them to the practice of law in Utah.
