Ryan Andrew Kalamaya

About me

I am a trial attorney and founding partner of Reynolds, Kalamaya & Voboril, LLC. I have taken over cases to trial, including approximately two dozen jury trials. Several of my cases have been featured in news publications like the Wall Street Journal, ESPN, New York Times and Denver Post. I have been named to the Rising Stars list for the last two year by Colorado Super Lawyers for Family Law. I am one of only three Rising Stars in Family Law based in the Central Rockies and Western Slope.

I primarily handle cases involving personal issues – divorce, child custody, complex property valuation, persons accused of committing crimes, and personal injury.

Personal Info: I earned a scholarship to play baseball at the University of Virginia. I spent a year teaching History in England at an elite boarding school, and have traveled to over 25 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, fly-fishing, mountain biking, and chasing my toddler-daughter around the mountains with my wife.

  • Jennifer D. McGinn

Ryan was a pleasure to work with in an area of law that can often be highly litigious and contested. I have worked with many family law attorneys who encourage their clients to battle with their spouses in a divorce, and these attorneys often employ the same techniques in their negotiations with opposing counsel. While it is important to advocate for your client, it is also important to maintain a good relationship with opposing counsel in order to reach the best settlement for your client, whenever settlement is possible. Ryan's ability to work with opposing counsel is an asset and it did not diminish his ability to fight for his client when necessary. In fact, it often made him sound more reasonable when he did take a stand on certain issues. These attributes helped facilitate a settlement which is useful in almost all divorce cases, but especially those that involve children.
