Marcia Gold O'brien
About meI practice in the areas of guardianship and conservatorship, probate litigation, probate administration, and estate planning. I have a strong background in psychology as well as extensive litigation experience, having served as lead counsel on over 40 jury trials and having argued before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals (en banc), the colorado upreme Court, and the Colorado Court of Appeals.
Over the past 12 years I have limited my practice to probate matters. I have litigated a number of contested guardianships and conservatorships, reparesented guardians, conservators and personal representatives, and represented parties in will contests. I understand the importance of estate planning not only for distributing an individual's assets upon death, but for families with children and those with foregsight to put in place powers of attorney to provide for a medical decison-maker and the continuation of the magaement of their financial affairs in the event of illness or disability.
My hobbies include high performance driving, reading, golfing and travel. |
