Danyel Joffe has been representing Coloradans for over 27 years. Ms. Joffe is a zealous advocate for the accused in felony and misdemeanor criminal cases at every step of the legal process, including the trial, appellate and post-conviction stages.
When litigating post-conviction cases and appeals it is critical that counsel understand every stage of the criminal case, from the crime scene investigation, to the filing of charges, and of course, through jury trial. Ms. Joffe has that experience
Ms. Joffe started out as a prosecutor on the western slope of Colorado, working in Delta, Gunnison, Montrose and Telluride. She prosecuted DUI, Misdemeanor and Felony cases. In addition to litigation, Ms. Joffe was called on to provide legal assistance to law enforcement at the scenes of serious crimes up to and including murder. She also litigated cases involving the seizure of property used to commit crimes.
Since leaving the District Attorney’s office, Ms. Joffe has represented the criminally accused at every stage of the process. She has represented accused Coloradoans in municipal, county and district court, as well as in the Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court. She has represented people accused of everything from obstructing traffic to possession of medical marijuana, to assault, to murder.
Ms. Joffe’s practice now focuses on appeals and post-conviction cases. She regularly represents people convicted of misdemeanors and of felonies, including burglary, robbery, kidnapping, sexual assault, and murder in post-conviction litigation and on appeal.
