George Brown was appointed by the courts in my case and did a poor job. He spent majority of time with father and only 30 minutes with myself, and no time with my three year old son. Despite my ex-husbands aggressive past leading to a restraining order, Mr. brown favored his father be primary care, and limit my rights as a mother. After one year of doing what the courts decided based on Mr. brown's review, my ex husband went to jail for child abuse. I was granted custody after this happened but feel Mr. Brown did a very poor job in investigating what is right for the children. I would highly recommend that no one seeks his help and if I could I would recommend for him to lose the ability to stop the practice of a so called Child Family Investigator. This awful decision could have cost my son his life.

Brown was appointed by the Doug Cty Magistrate to report on the custody of 12 year old boy. Brown was prejudiced in the amount of time that he spent with one party (about 75%) and refused to accept responsibility that his report caused the teenager to have to change homes and live with the parent that had neglected to support him for the prior 8 years of his life. The fact that he was appointed by a Magistrate reflects poorly on any justice that the Douglas County Family courts offers, and has done irreparable harm by reporting such one sided facts about a case.
