About Me

I am proud to announce my selection as a 2014 Rising Star by Super Lawyers (as featured in Texas Monthly). Super Lawyers only selects 2.5% of the licensed active attorneys in the state as Rising Stars making this a significant accolade.

Mr. Gonzalez was born and raised in Del Rio, Texas. He is the son of two school educators. Growing up in the small, border town that was the backdrop for the Lonesome Dove television series and the El Mariachi and Desperado films taught him both values and toughness.

Before law school, Mr. Gonzalez began his career in television news. As an undergraduate at The University of Texas at Austin, he reported for the Fox 7 News Morning Show covering issues at UT and also worked in New York City for the production team at CBS Sports. After graduating with High Honors, Mr. Gonzalez began working as a TV news reporter/weekend anchor in Laredo, Texas. He also taught middle school there before returning to Austin to attend The University of Texas School of Law. At UT Law, Mr. Gonzalez learned from some of the best criminal defense lawyers in Austin as he represented indigent clients for the Criminal Defense Clinic. He also learned while working part-time at an Austin firm specializing in personal injury cases.

After several years working as an associate attorney for established San Antonio and Austin litigation firms, Mr. Gonzalez founded this law firm. Combining top academic credentials with a broad range and depth of trial experience, Mr. Gonzalez’s practice is focused in the areas of criminal defense, business law, and personal injury. Friendly service is combined with serious courtroom experience. Each case is taken very seriously and we work diligently and efficiently to tailor a plan to fit your individual needs.

In his spare time, Mr. Gonzalez enjoys the outdoors, live music and attending sporting events.
