I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A REVIEW ABOUT ANY LAWYER THAT I HAVE COME IN CONTACT WITH . BUT NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT OUT OF SEVERAL LAWYERS THAT I HAVE HIRED IN MY PAST, FLORENCIA (AKA FLO) IS THE BEST LAWYER THAT I HAVE HIRED BY FAR. I DO HAVE A PAST CRIMINAL HISTORY. WITH THESE TWO RECENT CASES, I WAS CHARGED ON 2/23/13. I AGREED TO THE FIELD SOBRIETY TEST AND FAILED. I REFUSED THE BREATH TEST AND WAS TAKEN TO JAIL. AFTER BEING RELEASED, I HIRED FLO ON 2/26/13 AFTER READING REVIEWS ON THIS SITE. THE FIRST TIME WE SAT DOWN AND MET, SHE WAS STRAIGHT FORWARD AND HONEST. SHE MADE NO PROMISES, BUT SHE EXPLAINED TO ME SHE WOULD FIGHT HER HARDEST TO GET ME THE BEST OUTCOME POSSIBLE. DUE TO MY PAST CRIMINAL HISTORY AND LAWYERS I WAS LEARY ABOUT HIRING ANY ATTORNEY ON SUCH A SHORT NOTICE. BUT FLO WAS A BLESSING TO ME WITH WHAT I WAS UP AGAINST. WITH THAT SAID, BOTH MY CASES WAS DISMISSED ON 6/11/13.

TO-DATE THIS IS MY FIRST AND ONLY REVIEW OF ANYONE, GOOD OR BAD!
I originally had another well known lawyer, but after I PAID this lawyer I very quickly felt that he and his team did not have my best interest at heart. It went from a "don't worry about anything" to a "what did you expect". So even though I had PAID this lawyer, I felt like he and his team were not working hard to resolve my case to my satisfaction. So I came home and started searching for "BEST ATTORNEY", and that is when I found and read the reviews about FLORENCIA RUEDA. I am very glad I did. I called Florencia, went to her office and met her and after talking with Flo, I knew she was the attorney that I needed. She is smart, sharp and fearless. Flo told me things and options that I never knew, nor did my previous attorneys mentioned. I hope to never need an attorney again, but if I do, I know who to call, FLORENCIA RUEDA!

I was recently facing a DWI charge so I went on a spree of meeting with lawyers all across town and upon meeting her I was convinced she's the best around. She sat me down and explained the entire process from start to finish, what I should expect and took care of everything, within a month's time Florencia got me a deferred prosecution!
She's flat out amazing.

Florencia had my case resolved very quickly! She is very knowledgeable and helped explain the process of my case. I spoke to several lawyers before hiring her. I would recommend her to anyone in need!

Florencia Rueda and Duke Hildreth work incredible as a team. I was originally arrested for a DWI, tampering with evidence(felony, I ate my pot), and a POM. Right from the start Florencia was very confident. She told me we would get everything dropped, but probably have to plead guilty to the POM. She was right. After everything was said and done, my DWI and the tampering charge were both completely dropped and I was put on a 12 months probation. I have some community service and a couple classes to attend, and that's it.
Since I was originally arrested for a DWI, my license was suspended for 180 days since I didn't submit to a breath or blood sample. But, since my arrests were dropped to a POM it wasn't a moving violation. If it were a moving violation that I had plead down to I would have had to pay $500 a year for my sr22 insurance I had to get, and $500 for the occupational license. With it not being a moving violation I only had to pay for occupational license(mandatory 180 day suspension on refusal of a breath or blood sample) and only a $80 a year charge for the sr22 insurance. It was a HUGE relief when I found that out. Also, it didn't make my insurance go up.
All in all Florencia and Duke were an excellent team and did exactly as I was told from the beginning with superb communication. I thank them tremendously.

It was pure fate that put me in touch with Florencia. I was charged with assault that would put any lawyer's skills to test. I initially hired a lawyer right out of the advertisements and he was a horrible. All he did was as little as possible and didn't fight for me at all. There are a lot of lawyers out there and I feel that they become desensitized and just go through the motions. Not Florencia, I found her by word of mouth and I could not be happier. She took a very complex assault case and was able to have it dismissed. Along the way she tried every avenue to have it looked at by the Prosecutors. When it came down to the Prosecutors asking if this was going to trial Florencia had no problem saying yes. It took a lot work but she is a true fighter and has no problem telling you everything the way it is and not sugar coat anything. She will take your phone calls directly and not let some paralegal / gatekeeper take them. She will fight with everything she has and take every avenue to help your case. She makes you feel like family and tells you to let her do the worrying for you. In the end, my case was dismissed and I know it was a tough one for her. But with her tenacity she fought and was able to have it dismissed. I have never seen a lawyer so connected to their client that it made me, who was very anxious, feel confident. I owe everything to Flo and would not go with any other lawyer except her. If you do not have her representing you then you are making a huge mistake. Thank you Flo!!

Florencia is a very professional and informative attorney. When I first met with her, she laid out my options and allowed me to make a decision on whether to hire her or not without any pressure. Once I decided to hire Florencia, she quickly got the ball rolling on my case. She filed all the necessary paperwork, motions,etc on time and very quickly. If she needed something from me, she would send a timely reminder when i forgot. Within 2 months of being charged for DWI my case was dismissed!! How quick is that?!! I was given a traffic ticket instead , deferred for 90 days, which is a much better outcome than I ever expected.

I can't say enough great things about Florencia Rueda. I went with Dunham Law Firm for my first DUI, and the difference was night and day. Dunham treated me as a fast food patron, and did nothing to help me in anyway. They wanted my case done with quickly, with no input from me, so that they could go on to the next person. I did my research for the second time, and found Florencia, and not only was she cheaper, but superior in every way as well. Yes, she got my DWI dismissed...to my astonishment, but that is not the only reason I'm writing this review. She is professional, knowledgeable, quick to respond, and everything a lawyer is supposed to be, but, and I repeat, but she has a human element that is hard to find. She actually cared about my case, and I felt like me, through the entire process. She was completely on my side, and she suggested many things that I could do to help my case, and said that if I do my part she would do her best...and again, my DUI got dismissed! Hopefully I will never have to, but I would most definitely use Florencia again in the future, and I would recommend her to my own mother.

I retained Florencia for a DUI with accident charge. I was absolutely terrified. She was completely honest and did not give false hopes at all. Simply stated worst case and best case scenario. When it was time for court she could see the nervousness as soon as she stepped off the elevator. She immediately calmed me down and went over exactly what was going to happen. I would highly recommend her to anyone and within 2 minutes of sitting down during the consultation you will know as I did she is amazing.

I had an old charge that I finally needed to address. Since I had moved out of
Tx some years back, I had no idea as to whom I should contact. Ms. Rueda's shining
reviews attracted my attention, and I contacted her.
I informed her about my theft by check charge with accompanying warrant. She explained
Travis County's policy about restitution and contesting; I was impressed with Ms. Rueda's
clarity, brevity, and courteous professionalism, so I retained her on the spot.
I received an Email 11 days later stating that the warrant was recalled and the case dismissed.
ELEVEN DAYS! I have only required legal assistance a couple of times, and it took forever.
I can conclude by concurring with another of Ms. Rueda's clients; if you find yourself in need
of legal representation and don't at least consult with Florencia Rueda, you are wasting your
time and money.

I blew a .18 but did good on my field sobriety test. The attorneys I me with showed no enthusiasm at all to represent me. The high breath sample made them reluctant. Until I met with Ms. Rueda. After the first meeting I knew I wanted her to represent me. She showed conviction and welcomed the challenge my case would present. Ultimately she got the DWI charges REDUCED to obstruction, as well as deferred!!

Florencia is the best criminal defense attorney in Austin, Texas. My original attorney, who delayed my case for 10 months, wanted me to take a felony and 7 years of probation for an offense that I didn't commit. She took my case and within 5 weeks both of the charges were DISMISSED. Not only did she work well with me, but I knew what was going on every step of the way. She knows the law and understands the younger generation. She's a real bulldog in the court room and won't take anything less than the best for her clients. I cannot say enough good things about her and her team. My whole life could have been different if I hadn't hired Florencia. Hire her if you want to win!

It doesn't necessarily have to be intentional or deliberate, your bad moves can cause you previous negative repercussions and drain your peace in mind and make every breath you take hard and difficult. You have to go through this by yourself to realize how difficult it is and how desperate you could become. Criminal Defense against your ID is not something light that you could carry with yourself. Florencia was my attorney for the past year. My ex wife started a sand storm of lies and she was able to weed through them. She won my case for me by having my charges dropped by the prosecutor. Florencia did an awesome job!!! I was in the middle of an ugly divorce in which my now ex-wife had drummed up a false assault charge against me in an effort to gain custody of our daughters.

I was terrified, but Florencia assured me that the evidence was all in my favor. I would have probably preferred more updates as the waiting was a little over-bearring at times, but Florencia did tell me that she would be working hard on my case and not to worry. Pros: Moved swiftly on the court hearings
Allowed a payment plan
COMPLETE DISMISSAL!

Cons: Communications got a bit fuzzy when looking for status updates

Bottom Line: I would not hesitate to engage Ms. Rueda' services again if either myself or family needed legal representation. She knows what needs to be done and does it.

Do NOT go anywhere else for a criminal defense attorney! Florencia Rueda represented me in 2009-2010 on an assault family violence charge that ended with a dismissal! Her no nonsense straight talk always helped to alleviate my anxieties throughout the unfortunate ordeal, and not to mention the bonus of ALWAYS communicating with her directly (and timely) rather than back-and-forth with paralegals. I never had to go to any court dates. She's smart and demonstrates integrity throughout your case. Outstanding! I would use her all over again!

I met Florencia Rueda as a referral.At our first meeting she reviewed my case and explained to me what charges would be held on me and
what sentence would most likely be handed down.Then after more conversation she told me what she would work towards as a final
judgement.We had only two other meetings and the final judgement came down exactly as she had predicted. I was extremely pleased with

Mrs. Rueda helped me in a Domestic Assault case w/ Bodily Injury - Misdemeanor Class A with a bond of $10k. The wording and language used in the police report made my case look very bad and I thought all hope was lost. Mrs. Rueda has significant influence in the community and I did not spend a day in jail nor pay a fine. My case was dismissed and will be expunged from my record in 2 years with good behavior. Mrs. Rueda does not beat around the bush, she tells you how it is and has a long track record of successes to back herself up. I was in disbelief after everything she came through, it seemed too good to be true. She is very busy but efficient. Do not expect her to hold your hand through the whole process legal process. Expect results, that is her art. She is a very talented young lawyer which will have enormous success. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the need of criminal defense. Florencia delivers! She is amazing and really knows what she is doing. She seems very well connected in the legal community which is a bonus. The crappy Atty I had before her tried to scare me with my charges of 60 years and extort more money out of me because of this fear! Not Florencia she gave me a flat fee (which was half of my other atty) and helped me with a payment plan. She was honest and doesn't beat around the bush, she will tell you exactly how it is. After a couple months of reset hearings Florencia was able to get my 60 years dismissed with no probation,adjudication, fees or courts costs. Don't trust your freedom to anyone else!

Miss Rueda is a very candid lawyer who told me exactly what I needed to know while instilling confidence in me that she could get the job done. She has a great track record when it comes to alcohol-related crimes, and was able to get my case dismissed with a minimal deferral fee, and other, very reasonable, terms of deferment. Also, her fees are reasonable, and she is quite personable. I would certainly recommend Miss Rueda to anyone who is looking for representation for an alcohol-related crime.

Retained Flo for a DUI and she took care of everything from day 1. I couldn't have asked for a better attorney and cannot imagine one even exists.

I had an 'assault family violence' case. I met 5 lawyers before choosing to go with Florencia - all of them had 20-25+ years of experience and very good reputation. Money was not the most important factor for me if I found the right lawyer and so my inclination was to go with as good a lawyer as I can find.

When I met Florencia, she not only did not have the length of experience or pedigree as others but also, her fees were a third of what the others were charging. Which got me thinking if I'd be making a mistake by going with a rookie. And was I proven wrong!

Florencia was confident, honest and trustworthy and very capable from the get go. She convinced me that a good case is a good case is a good case - irrespective of the lawyer. And same goes for bad cases. So it was important to go with the one who would work for you rather than work for the money alone.

She had extremely good rapport with the prosecutors as well as the court staff. This is something that's not evident in the lawyer evaluation process. She was able to move my dates around for a speedy resolution - something the more reputed lawyers wouldn't have done as they'd have many more "big fish" cases with them. Every lawyer said that I was looking at about a 6 month time frame to get the resolution. But Florencia told me upfront that my case was a straight dismissal and it wouldn't take longer than a month. It didn't.

The other good thing was that she was honest. When some lawyers did advise that we will deny the facts of the case, I wasn't comfortable. But Florencia didn't want to do that. And even with the facts of the case, she was confident that we would get it dismissed.

Since she was so confident with all aspect of the case, I had the peace of mind that I was in safe hands and didn't have to lose sleep over the impending result.

She was also honest money-wise and even after telling her that other lawyers were charging thrice her price and that I was willing to pay that, she did not increase her fees. She did not want to charge different rates to different people for the same work, just because someone came in a luxury car vs. average one. This was in stark contrast to the so called 'reputed' lawyers - one of whom went to the extent of telling me that until i had paid up all the fees, they wouldn't get the case dismissed. So it was refreshing to see Florencia who was not money-minded.

That brings me to the age and client base. Because she is young, energetic and upcoming, she was far more concerned about ensuring that my case is dismissed. I am sure other lawyers would have got the same result but the mind share given to me by her was significant and she took a keen interest in ensuring that the case is dismissed in the shortest time. With other more established lawyers, I would have had to follow up to see how they'd speed things up. With Florencia, she followed up with me to update on how the process was moving.

Overall, it was a great customer satisfaction experience.

I highly recommend anyone seeking a criminal lawyer to talk to Florencia anyways - whether they go with her or not - before making the final decision.
