Review Jessica Newill

About Me

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, after only two years of attendance, attaining the distinction of Magna Cum Laude.  I stayed at UMKC for law school and received my J.D. in 2008.  Although I was on Law Review, was published and received various awards, my greatest accomplishment in law school was being a part of a case with the Midwest Innocence Project Student Organization, which led to the eventual exoneration of a wrongfully convicted inmate who served 17 years in prison.

After graduating law school, I moved to various states and took several bar exams before permanently settling in Texas.  I am actively licensed in Texas and Nevada and I have inactive licenses in Missouri and Colorado.  Prior to joining Gardner Law, I worked for the firm Brown & Brown, P.C., a law firm dedicated solely to estate planning and probate practice.  At Brown & Brown, I was fortunate to work with amazing attorneys and several wonderful clients.  I found my passion in estate planning and probate, specifically in helping people solve complex problems.  I find there is nothing more satisfying than working with people and obtaining favorable outcomes for clients.  I focus on personal service tailored to the specific needs of each client and full attorney accessibility.
