This attorney is not accepting clients.

Reason: In-House Counsel

About me

I serve as first-chair trial counsel in state and federal courts in negligence, personal injury, and property damage litigation.

Prior to joining Gonzales, Miller & Associates, I represented select clients in bet-the-company litigation in district court and in our courts of appeal. I am frequently called upon to research, write, and argue dispositive motions, memoranda of law, and briefs at all stages of litigation.

Representative cases:

* Defense of drivers accused of negligence

* Defense of electrical cooperative following the most destructive wildfire in Texas history

* Defense of railroad contractor following derailment and destruction of cargo

* City charter interpretation and whether debt issue was subject to citizen petition

* Use of tax dollars by municipal government to promote a proposed bond issue

* Amicus brief for League of Women Voters of Texas on voting rights issue

* Pro bono work has included two victories at Supreme Court of Texas

Graham Baker is the advocate you need in your corner when you face an uphill legal battle. Whether before a jury or a court of appeals, Mr. Baker has the legal acumen and solid experience to persuasively tell his client's story while leveraging the law to his client's favor. As a litigator myself, I have worked with Mr. Baker on several cases at the trial court level and can attest to his litigation skills in preparation of trial and his skills inside the courtroom. I have observed him work harder than the other side to obtain favorable settlements before trial and, for those that do not settle, to prepare around the clock for the arduous task of a jury trial. On appellate cases, I have observed Mr. Baker argue and win an appeal that others believed was not winnable. In short, Mr. Baker is a solid litigation and appeals attorney who is respected by both his peers and by the judges in the trial courts and in the courts of appeals.
