After... more A Texas Lotto winner gifted me the balance of his retainer which was a large sum of money in a case where I obtained for him custody of his son and terminated his high child support obligation. After confirming the gift, I accepted it partly but I carried it as a credit for him, in case he needed future legal work. Years later, he wanted his money back.
