The same day the decree was filed, he filed a post judgment the same day on behalf of the person my former spouse was seeing in order to get money from her former spouse. I needed final affairs in order from the decree but apparently Wally found a better case. My former spouse, also a lawyer, is also advising his now client on the side. Not really sure who Wally's now client's lawyer is, Wally or my former spouse. If my former spouse hits Wally's client as he did me, maybe Wally will represent him too. I, too, have had to hire another lawyer.
I highly recommend Mr. Mahoney. He represented me in my divorce. He has a way of just taking over the situation to take as much stress as possible off of the client. He advises the client of what is truely best for them. He quietly moves you forward in your case but don't be concerned...he is prepared. I thought at times he may not be listening to what I was saying but, in fact, during mediation he quoted me several times and stood up for the things that were important to me. He handled the case perfectly!
Very nice person and great attorney! Work out well for me. Thank you, Wally
I work for an attorney's office. We were referred to Wally. This was for my personal family case. He is an amazing and fair person. More knowing about family issues than any attorney I have met. He is a great person in general and I would recommend him to anyone. I HIGHLY suggest this attorney.
I have recommended Wally to many people.
If you think family court is about the paperwork, you don't know squat about family court. Unlike other courts, in family law the judge has, by statute, been given complete discretion to do whatever he/she believes is in the best interest of everyone involved, regardless of the paperwork. This creates a complex situation where "reading" the judge and the situation becomes critical. Wally is wonderful at playing the game, so to speak. He knows when to push and he knows when to back off. He listens to the client, even during trial, and is quicker on his feet than any attorney I have ever seen. He is humble yet a powerful and a very effective advocate.
I my case, we were up against two powerhouse mega-firm attorneys and this unassuming attorney from Pasadena just wiped the floor with them.
The best part is that he is not arrogant or vain or condescending like many attorneys can be. He is kind and understanding and open to your input on the case and his rates are reasonable. In my book, he is the best deal in town.
Mr. Mahoney has been my Lawyer for years and I wouldn't trust anyone else with reguards to my children. He is one of the smartest men I've ever known. He really cares about his clients and gives his best to everyone. He is the BEST!!!!
This attorney would schedule dates and would not send out notices. Only received 20% of the documents that were filed. He would not answer questions during mediation and kept giving the excuse that he doesn't know the answer because that is up to the judge. Asked him several times to mention something to the judge, he would say okay, then after talking to the judge said he didn't want to say anything because it would have upset the judge. I went to mediation and trial and this guy is lasy and disorganized. He sent me information from two of his other clients by accident and several of his motions that were filed had other peoples names in the body of the motion but my name on top. Sloppy work and there were $160,000 worth of inventory that were missed. Had 18 court dates that were reset over the course and limited progress was made on 3 court dates. I don't have time to keep going down to court and then nothing happens. What a waste.
