I am a solo
practitioner, born in Mexico. I graduated from the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City (1999, Licenciado en Derecho), and from the University of Houston Law
Center (2006, LL.M.). I am licensed to practice law in Mexico and in New York,
admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
practice reflects my dual expertise in the legal systems of Mexico and the
United States. This practice is divided into two different areas: first, I
provide advice in International law –more precisely, Mexican law– through
JurisMex Corp., a consulting firm based on Houston, Texas. This aspect of my practice takes up to 60% of my time.
The second part
of my practice focus on U.S. immigration law, offered through Pinto–Leon Law
Firm, PC to non-U.S. citizens, mostly in employment-based visas and permanent
residency. This aspect of my practice takes approx. 40% of my time.
