About Me

Earl is the current president of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association and has served on the board of directors for the past six years.

Earl is a native Houstonian, who spent over twenty-eight years working investigative divisions within the Houston Police Department.  In 1999, Earl was licensed by the State Bar and started prosecuting cases for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.  Earl started his criminal defense practice in 2003, and has been a continuous member of the College of the State Bar of Texas and the various criminal defense organizations in and around Harris County.

Throughout his careers, Earl has seen and worked criminal cases from every aspect: investigation, prosecution, and defense. Earl has a tremendous amount of experience regarding criminal law and has defended clients in twenty four different counties in Texas.

Earl is certified by the State in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and has successfully represented hundreds of defendants charged with driving while intoxicated.

In 2008, the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association named Earl as their Attorney of the Year for his defense of a capital murder suspect.  During Earl's representation his client was exonerated and the investigation reveiled who had actually committed the murder.
