Scott Monroe Clearman

The Texas Lawyer magazine (an American Legal Media Publication) announced its May 16, 2011 list of the “Top TX Verdicts of 2010” will include Scott’s March 2010, $8,672,567.85 trucking accident verdict. The magazine ranks the verdict ninth in its motor vehicle category. The case at issue is presently on appeal, and the judgment has yet to be paid. The Texas Lawyer also profiled Scott in 2001 as one of its “40 under 40” Texas judges, lawyers, and law professors “whose accomplishments distinguish them among their peers.”

Scott represents individuals and businesses in both private and class action lawsuits. All of his class actions have settled for cash, not coupons or exclusively non-monetary relief. The firm negotiates its fees with clients on a case-by-case basis.
