I am currently a client of Mr Factor. If you are someone who does not want to know a single thing about the plan your lawyer has for your case or if you are ok with no contact from him or his office unless you go to sit in his office after hours for at least 2 hours ,( He is in his office from 5 to 9 or so 4 nights a week and there will be 8 to 10 other people waiting to see him.) I finally sat down and sent an email to the office explaining my story, situation and wants and needs from Abe and questions about my case. And NO ONE ever even acknowledged that they received it. Word of mouth for some reason is a strong resource for Mr. Factor but the first time I sat down to visit with him I started regretting my decision. As he was my bondsmen also, I was already into this office for $1400.00 so I stayed. He has far too many clients to give them good service or to make them feel secure and calm about what if anything he is doing for them. I was actually told by a member of his office. " Just pay Abe what you owe him and let him do his job, don't worry about anything unless we call you". Questions either cannot be answered by his staff or are very vague. No one can give you a firm plan of attack or answer to any questions. It is always well I dont' know or let me talk to Abe. I was told that for the "whole thing" ( his words)it would cost me $2500.00. Assuming that this meant to fight it. Even, though I had family pay less than that for other well known good lawyers to fight there case, I had heard such good things about Abe that I stuck with it. I wish I hadn't. I have since , after paying him 1400.00 , decided to plead in order to be able to afford court costs, and the office is telling me they will ask Abe but that I will probably still be charged $2500.00 even though he is not fighting this case for me. Which means I have paid him $2500.00 to meet with me once, do my bond and do a walk through which he was over 5 hours late for. I am to say the least livid. I do not know this man personally, so I really do not judge him on that level. I am simply telling those thinking of using him, to think carefully about the type of lawyer you want. This is a very embarrassing, scary and stressful time for people going through DWI and other court matters and I have not felt reassured or supported by this lawyer or his office at all. Good Luck to you in your quest for good representation.

From the initial meeting with Abe Factor it was a disaster. I had made an appointment to see him at his office. The meeting was at 6pm. For some reason I was expected to show up at 6 and yet there was no appointments when i walked in. It was first come first serve. As in you come in, sign in and he sees you when he gets to your name on the list. That was about a 2hr wait. When i finally went in he spoke to me for about 5 mins, if that, and said he would see me in court.
I have now been going to court for 8months and not ONCE has he showed up for any of the court dates. I even called his assistant and she told me he was on his way... I wait 4 hrs total and he never shows.
Not to mention his rude assistant decided to call and argue with me about why i was upset that i had been rescheduled for court 4 times already and he had no once showed. If your looking for a dependable attorney that actually cares about you, or at least acts like it, then ABE FACTOR is not the attorney for you. If you would like your case to be thrown in a pile of 600 other cases then go with Abe.

Hired this man on a good referral. He took our $ selling me a dream, saying that the state "has no case"... I sat in jail for 8 months w/only ONE visit from Abe. I finally posted bail, the case dragged on another 7 months with him telling me to take deal after deal... on my last court date, he showed up & told the judge he was not going to represent me anymore... they revoked my bond & threw me back in jail. I'm serving out two years State, no thanx to him or the $$ & time I wasted, just to get abandoned like I'm nothing! DO NOT risk your freedom on this man!!

I had court at 9am, and by 12:30 everyone had gone through and seen the judge. The judges and Abe himself all walked past me as I sat waiting by myself in the hallway. Maybe they were running down the hall? Nope, going home for the day. Worst service I've ever received. I definitely didnt drain savings account for this dumbass to take his lunch break. Wouldn't recommend him to anyone unless you want to waste your time and money.

Seriously??! I'm surprised to read the negative reviews about Abe. Take your money and leave? No way. His experience & knowledge saved me and I found him to be well worth it. You have to put trust in Abe and be patient. He never charged me for any consultations and was always straightforward. I paid him well below what any other criminal defense attorney in the area would have cost me and he's one of the best, so there's no way he's money hungry. Not only was it a bargain price, but he didn't hound me and was very cool about how to pay it out. He also advised me and helped me on matters that he didn't even charge me for. Definitely would recommend him to a friend or family member.

He said the defenses case was weak and that we would have all charges dropped. He never contacted any of my witnesses. He showed up to court late or not at all. He didn't care about me or my family! Made many empty promises and didn't show up to court on the last day instead sent a friend who didn't know anything about my case and pleaded me out to 8 years probation. He told me all charges would be dropped then said he didn't say that. Worst lawyer in Texas and if you enjoy your freedom go with somebody else!!!!

When he first came to see me in jail he said he would be able to get my charges dropped. MONTHS later when he came back he said he NEVER said that and was very arrogant and said I was going to do time. Which I did....Was not very responsive and didn't act like he cared at all. AND he was not court appointed! WE PAID HIM! :/
