    Coby’s Answer

First you need to understand that the insurance company is not your friend. Their job is to pay you as little as possible. You need to seek the advice of a personal injury attorney. They can make an evaluation as to what damages you can claim and try to give you a proper valuation. And they study your own insurance policy to see if you can get PIP benefits or UIM.

    Coby’s Answer

Yes they can issue tickets for failing a roadside inspection in almost any situation. Remember that most officers are using their personal observations and whatever real facts the collect. Best bet is to hire a criminal attorney to contest the ticket. I will move this to the criminal message boards.

  • Car accident hit from behind, do I need a lawyer?

Damage to trunk and bumper, also need to see chiropractor

    Coby’s Answer

If you were injured then you need to seek medical attention now instead of later. And if you were injured then you absolutely need to seek the advice of a personal injury attorney. Insurance companies make their money by not paying claims or not paying value on the claims. Rest assured they will attempt this with you without legal counsel in your corner.

  • I had a car catch fire while I was driving it was a rental and they don't want to replace my clothes or phone

I lost my phone tablet laptop and ALL of my clothes due to water and sm9ke damage and the insurance company doesn't want to pay car caught fire due to improper maintenance and they do not want to aknolage it please help

    Coby’s Answer

First, did you purchase the insurance coverage when you rented the vehicle. If so then you need to make a claim there. Also, you should try calling your insurance company and see if your belongings are covered with you own insurance policy, if so then you can make a claim there and leave it up to the insurance companies to fight over it. If you have neither then you can file a small claim lawsuit against the rental car company in Justice Court without the need and expense of hiring an attorney as long as your claim for damages is $10,000.00 or less.

You need to consult with a personal injury attorney to do a thorough evaluation of your claim and the facts surrounding your case. I would not waste any time talking to the insurance company until after the attorney consultation, if at all.

    Coby’s Answer

I agree the other answers. I might point out that you will have prove that your injuries are worse now as a result of the most recent accident. If you received medical treatment then your past records and the records from the latest collision will help in this area. I suggest that you contact a personal injury and so quickly given that fact that the 2 year statute of limitations in Texas may be a concern.

    Coby’s Answer

I agree with attorney Horowitz. However, if you are worried about the case being dismissed, then you will likely at some point have to appear in person. When you call the attorney who issued the subpoena you need to make sure to press upon him that you do not want it dismissed and to work with you make sure that it does not happen
