About Me

Thank you for viewing my profile.  I am a former CPS Assitant District Attorney.  I was licensed to practice law in 1995 and I have been in private practice for 19 years.

CPS:  Many of my cases have an element of CPS involvement.  I am often court appointed to represent children in foster care.  I handle all aspects of a CPS matter including investigation, appeal of investigation, foster care and adoption.  I've successfully defended several divorces and child abuse cases that that included false allegations of child abuse.  I am a frequent lecturer, teaching attorneys and judges CPS law.

ADOPTION:  I am an adoptive parent of three children.  I have consumated the adoption of over 300 children.  I frequently train attorneys on adoption law and I have authored many papers on adoption law.

FAMILY LAW:  I handle all family law matters including: divorce, child support, modifications, protective orders, child custody, and grand parent rights.

AWARDS:  I am the receipient of the Texas A&M University School of Law (formerly Texas Wesleyan Universtiy) Alumni of the Year award.  I won this because of my years of service to the National Adoption Day committee.    I also served two terms on the State Bar of Texas' Child Abuse and Neglect Committee where I co-charied the education and legislative sections.
